Neopian Beauty Contest

It was the day of the Beauty Contest and there were so many things to do! I had to get all three of my pets fed, clean, and looking pretty. I also had many errands to make during the day. Shopping basically but I had to wait until the Spotlight Contest was over. Lately there had been a robbery in one of the NeoHomes and I wasn’t taking any chances! Even if the robbery wasn’t in our neighborhood!

A few days ago I took my pets shopping for the supplies they needed so we wouldn’t have to rush to any store on that morning. Wow, they wanted everything from toothpaste to NeoBlocks to paintbrushes! It nearly cost me 3,000 Neopoints but as long as my babies were happy I was happy.

We ended up going to almost every store in the market! I had had the paintbrushes since my pet’s birthdays’ I got them from a rich friend. And a very generous one too. Each pet was painted a different color. Marimoken was painted cloud, Sunflowroo was painted rainbow, and Brucie Princess was a disco Bruce. Now that their fur was a pretty color we went to the market to finish our duties.

As I was checking over the messy handwriting trying to make out what my little pets had wanted they were excitedly chattering away about their new job coupons. They wanted to have their very own so I had to get them each different colors. (I decided not to tell them that some coupons were worth more than others.)

We were off to the grooming store. I said that each could only pick three items and share them with the others. Each got an eyeshadow matching their color. Along with those items there was a toothbrush, toothpaste, hairspray, a longhaired and shorthaired brush in blue.

I knew I had some things to pick up also so while we were on our way to clothes I wanted to get some gardening supplies for our new home we moved into recently. Just as we were leaving, Sunflowroo found about 500 Neopoints, which was great because we hadn’t brought that, much anyway.

I told them they could get a toy each after we were finished, which delighted them. And then they saw it. The clothes store! Sunflowroo and Brucie Princess ran straight in never seeing such a beautiful sight. Marimoken and I walked the regular pace since he wasn’t that interested in clothes. When I entered the two girls had pile of clothes waiting to try on. I told them I wouldn’t be able to buy them all but they could see what they looked like with them on. I had always known they would go ballistic over this shop so I hadn’t taken them there. We ended up buying a bandana, a straw hat, and a bow tie one for each of them.

We were almost finished and had three more shops to go. We went grocery shopping so our tummies would be filled up on the special day. Buying NeoCrunch, snacks, and little smoothies for after the competition. We were just about done and they had been acting so well so I decided they deserved a treat. An ice cream cone and one movie to rent. We were done so it was to the home, baths, and bed.

This morning I woke up to a very loud and strange noise. The girls had forgotten which bandana they got and were screaming over whose it was! I was very disappointed and I told them so. I also said they needed to behave when we were at the contest. They listened and talked over it quietly.

I got them to eat a big breakfast until they were very bloated. I gave each two bowls of coco NeoCrunch cereal. Then we walked to the bathroom and I did each pet’s makeup, hair, and comforted him or her from the fears of the stage one at a time. I was thinking how hard it must be for owners who have four pets!

The spotlight Neobus took every contestant and there owners to the contest. On the bus I saw some very nice pets. They were all talking and being rude though. My little three were as quiet as mice. I could tell they were afraid of going up on stage in front of everyone else. I told them to stay still and they didn’t mess up their fur or bows. They did just that! They wanted to win badly. Very badly!

When we arrived I took them to the back and told them to stay in their seat until their names were called and went back to take my seat. Thoughts rushed through my head as I was waiting. What if they didn’t win? What if they messed up? But they didn’t they did a marvelous job. We won! 2nd! They came up and told me it felt like first. I was so proud. We come home with a 10,000 Neopoint prize! That helped since we were low on money. I brought them home to gifts of plushies looking like them, rowzez, and space Slushies for each of them. It was the greatest outing ever!
