Where Are You, Bosley?

by little_fearie

"NO!" yelled Vicey, "I don't want Bosley to leave!" I stood there looking down at my 5 month old Kau she looked up at me with wanting eyes. My son Bosley a 1 year old Chia was taking a trip to the Haunted Woods to show his comedy strip to some lonely NeoPets I was happy that Bosley could go all by himself now but Vicey wasn't.

"No No No No No No," she yelled ramming her tiny head against my legs, "Why can't I come too?"

"I already told you," I said, "Bosley needs to do this himself without his mother and little sister getting in the way."

I decided that since Vicey wanted to come, we would go as far as Mystery Island with him and then see him off maybe if we stuck around there for a bit Vicey would have enough fun to make her forget, but believe me I'll never forget it.

The next day we went to the Neopian Docks and got on a ship called the Mystery Liner it took a straight route to Mystery Island. Bosley put on a comedy act here and there for some sailors that were on break or just some lounging pets. We got to Mystery Island at 14:00 NST. It was pretty dark so we decided not to do much sight-seeing today. We headed over to my cousin, Milinda, to stay in her NeoHome.

The next morning Milinda was already gone to work so we got up went down to The Island Fruit Stand and had some breakfast. Next we went sight-seeing.

The Island's lush jungles were beautiful in the morning sun and they were very hot too. 13:00 NST came quickly and we were rushing Bosley and his baggage to the docks. Vicey had started to cry again so Milinda, who took time off to wish Bosley off, picked her up. Suddenly the boat came in, it was a big dirty oil rig called The Spookoil. Bosley looked up at me with a disgusted look on his face, then he sighed and walked towards the gangplank. We all said, "Good-bye" and then he was out of sight.

I didn't have the money to stay on Mystery Island long enough to pick Bosley up from his trip, and since Milinda was planning on coming down to our NeoHome she would pick Bosley up and then bring him down to Neopia with her. Vicey and I took the "Mystery Liner" back to Neopia and headed home.

"Chug! Chug!" the oil liner horn blew as it pulled into the docks of Mystery Island. Milinda looked at everyone who came off the rig but Bosley was no where to be seen. Milinda frantically pushed through the crowd to the ticket taker.

"Did a Bosley come aboard this ship?"

The big man looked through the tickets in his hand and shook his head and said, "No Ma'am, No Bosley entered the ship sorry."

"Oh God," Milinda thought. "How can I tell this to his Mom?"

Milinda pushed past the big man and scurried behind some empty barrels of oil. The ship left port back to The Haunted Woods...

The ship blew it's horn as it pulled into the port at Haunted Woods. Milinda's blond hair was matted with oil stains. She hid with the crowd and snuck off the ship. The Haunted Woods was bustling with excitement Milinda looked around till she spotted the stage, she quickly ran over and questioned the Chomby standing near. "Have you seen a green Chia about this tall?" she asked making frantic gestures with her hands.

"Yeah I saw him," said the Chomby, "He was in the middle of a joke when a couple of Faeries flew down and grabbed him, I don't remember anything after that."

Milinda sat down at a table and started to cry when a man with a captain's suit on came by. "What is wrong Young Miss?" the man asked.

"Oh Some Faeries stole my cousin's son and I was supposed to take care of him!"

"Um-Um I know where those Faeries and I might have some hope for you, young miss. I run a blimp company from here to Faerie Land."

"That's nice but when could you take me?"

"Well, young miss, I could make a special trip for you, just get ready and we can be off in.... ahhh.... about two hours."

"Oh thank-you thank-you Mr. ummm."

"Manns but call me Jack."

"Okay, Jack"

"Just go to a restaurant and I'll meet you near the Brain Tree and give you some clean clothes," said Jack.....

"I'm ready Jack," said Milinda, she was wearing a ship captains suit.

"It was all I could find," Jack apoligised.

"Well let's be off," said Jack, "Right this way please."

Jack and Milinda boarded Jack's small blimp and with a jolt the blimp took off.

Soon enough Faerieland was in sight the blimp started downwards. Milinda and Jack hurried off the blimp where a man stopped them his Kougra growled menacingly Milinda knew he was a policeman.

"Why Hello Captain Manns," he said, "smuggling passengers into this land are you," he said raising an eyebrow at Jack.

"No, no, Sergeant Lock, but I must hurry this lovely lady has business in Faerie City."

"Okay Jack I'll let you off this time."

Jack and Milinda hurried off the landing pad and into Faerie City.

"So where exactly is Bosley and his Faerie Capturers," Milinda asked with a worried and frantic voice.

"No time to talk now just follow me," said Jack.

The two snuck into the city and up some stairs to a cloud. "Now it should be somewhere around here," said Jack. He took Milinda's hand and disappeared.

"Where are we?" Milinda asked.

"In the Secret Tower," Jack replied.

"Oh what is the secret tower exactly?"

"No time. No time, but look over there."

Two Dark Faeries had Bosley in there arms and were dragging him to another room."

"Come on I have to get him," Milinda screamed but Jack held her back, "Quiet down if they hear you we'll be caught too."

After a minute they followed the Faeries to the room. Bosley looked helpless and before Jack could stop her she ran forwards.

"Hi-ya," she yelled kicking at the Faeries knocking them helplessly to the ground. Milinda ran over and untied Bosley.

"Oh thank-you," he said hugging her.

Suddenly Jack ran in. "Hi Jack I thought I told you I got a black belt in martial arts at the Neo-fu training centre."

"No you didn't but I'm glad you're both safe."

Jack waved as Bosley and Milinda boarded the ship to go home.

"What happened back there," she asked Bosley.

"It's a long story," he said and started to tell it.
