NeoPets Survivor: Day 1

On January 1, 2001, 16 NeoPets set out to the Mysterious Isle. They would be abandoned there for 14 days. They will have no contact to the outside world and will have no help getting food. Each day, the NeoPets must vote one off the island. The overall winner goes home with one billion Neopoints. Now we will introduce the contestants:

1.) Chiala the Chia has always wanted to see the islands and now she will. She is currently a model and has been pictured on a blue back trading card. She is out to make friends, and to win big.

2.) Ursula Usul is a very experienced Gormball player and she was involved in a search for the Battledome. She has a lot of courage and will and is ready to take on anything the island can give her.

3.) Nigel the Chia has background in the stock market but that won't help him now. He's agreed to pack away his cell phone and is ready to live on the island like it is.

4.) Blooplum the Poogle has knowledge of the Mysterious Isle but will she be able to outsmart her teammates?

5.) Safari Techo is Blooplum's partner in crime. I can see an alliance forming between these two.

6.) Benjamin Chia the explorer recently did business with Safari Techo and Blooplum but it didn't work out. Could he be holding a grudge?

7.) Brian the Scorchio has been spotted playing Gormball. He may be able to survive an oversized water balloon but can he survive the island?

8.) Kevin the Korbat is a mischievous little fellow. His small size but big attitude may win him a spot in the winner's circle.

9.) Alien Aisha has left her vending machine and is trying to win the billion Neopoints so she can update it and make it better and bigger.

10.) DJ Roo the Blumaroo has decided to give the contest a try. He thinks he has good chances but his background in professional business won't help him much on this island.

11.) "The Breadmaster" the Kacheek has left his shop unattended as he tries to win the big dough. He says if he wins the money, he is gonna make the worlds biggest donut.

12.) Thyassa the Chia never gets to get out of his Gormball game but now he is coming to the island for the big run.

13.) Buckley the Wocky has decided to leave Maraqua and come play the game. He wants to win the money so he can profit more expeditions.

14.) Sarkis the Blumaroo has also left Maraqua. He and Buckley have not gotten along in the past and this may affect the votes.

15.) Professor Chesterpot the Lenny has quit his job as a professor! That shows how much he thinks he's going to win.

16.) The last and final contestant is Sunshine the Blumaroo. He used to work at the Neopian pound and if he wins, he will donate all the money to help find pets homes.

Their adventure starts when they paddle 4 miles to the Mysterious Isle. "Okay everyone, let's try to make shelter first," Benjamin ordered.

"I already don't like him," Kevin whispered to Alien Aisha.

Benjamin gave out orders while Alien Aisha, Professor Chesterpot, Chiala, Ursula, and Blooplum went to gather large sticks and branches. Sarkis, DJ Roo, Thyassa, and Brian went down the beach to try and find fish or any type of plant to eat for dinner. Nigel, Safari Techo, Buckley, and the Breadmaster relaxed and watched the sun go down. Kevin and Sunshine went exploring for fresh water. By dusk, they had a huge salad, 3 gallons of fresh water, and a small hut shelter.

"I just love the sky at night," Ursula said as she gazed at the pink clouds.

"Yeah but the bad part is at 10:00 tonight, someone won't be here," Blooplum said.

"Well, I have no idea who I'm going to vote for," Alien Aisha blurted out.

They sat around and ate salad for a while until they heard a noise. They turned around to see their entire shelter had been demolished.

"But we made it so sturdy," Chiala cried.

"Let's just work until 10:00 and maybe we can fix it," Benjamin said to the group.

"I don't like that Benjamin giving us orders, do you," Safari Techo asked Blooplum.

"I'll just say that he's on my list for possible vote choices at the moment," Blooplum replied.

The 16 NeoPets worked hard and built up a bigger and better shelter than before. They knew that they could make it so it only fit 15 because 1 survivor would not be around to sleep in it.

"Let's explore the island until 10:00. We have a good half hour," Nigel said.

A small portion of the 16 followed Nigel into the dark woods. "I bet their going to form an alliance behind our backs," Benjamin screeched.

"Chill out Ben, this is only the first day," Blooplum said.

Well, 10:00 rolled around and Nigel and his crew came back. All 16 Pets marched into the cold and unforgiving woods knowing that the island would get the best of someone tonight. As the tracked deep into the forest, they saw a huge temple. They entered and inside was the Light Faerie.

"Hello survivors, you may not know but I'm going to be your host for the 14 days. This is where you will come every night to vote out one of your newfound friends. When someone is voted off, there will be no good-byes; they must immediately step on the warp pad in the middle of the room and return to Neopia. Now, lets start the voting. Go back into the room on the left and write your vote down and put it in the box. When everyone is done, I'll read them," the Light Faerie said.

Benjamin of course started. He came back with a grin on his face and the votes continued until everyone was done. "Okay here are the votes," the Light Faerie said. She reached for the bucket and read off each one.

"NIGEL."

"BRIAN."

"BENJAMIN."

"BLOOPLUM."

"BRIAN."

"ALIEN AISHA."

"SAFARI TECHO."

"BENJAMIN."

"BENJAMIN."

"URSULA."

"SUNSHINE."

"ALIEN AISHA."

"BRIAN."

"BENJAMIN."

"BRIAN."

"The last vote decides if Benjamin or Brian leaves and the votes says, BRIAN," the Light Faerie said. "Brian, you've been the first kicked off and we hope you have a great time in Neopia," the Light Faerie said pointing to the warp.

Brian stepped on it and disappeared. Everyone was speechless. They knew that everyone except one, the winner, would have to step on that pad and disappear from the island too. The walk home was silent. It had started to rain and the girls all ran ahead so they could get in the shelter. When they all got packed in, they shut the door on the shelter and tried to get to sleep.

"Before we go to sleep, I have one thing to say," Blooplum spoke up, "this is going to be great fun but Pets are going to be leaving and if you get voted out, don't take it personally."

Then, the storm calmed as the 15 remaining Pets closed their eyes for a night of sleep.
