The Mutated Witch: Part Two

In Trouble
As they arrived at the Dark Faerie castle, Gyka and Pakiest (the witch) stared at the familiar sight and sniffed the familiar stench that came from the basement in the torture chamber. "All right," said Gyka, "we need a plan to sneak into the experiment room on the West Tower."

Pakiest was surprised at Gyka of how he knew so much about the castle and so she asked, "How did you know?"

Cholena13 stepped in again and said, "I told you we cannot tell you why."

Pakiest was very suspicious and then finally said, "I could just fly up there, how about it?"

"No," said Gyka, "You'll get blasted, burned, and filled with confusing nightmares from the protection circle around the castle."

Once again, Pakiest was very suspicious of Gyka's knowledge and burst out, "Tell me how you knew! Tell me!"

Cholena13 growled at Pakiest, "Why don't you respect his privacy, or else, he could leave you to die here, since you, nor any other of us have any knowledge of this castle!"

Pakiest was silent; she wanted to be a normal beautiful witch again, but she knew that the only way was to trust these NeoPets.

Gyka glanced at Rievie and Ally_A and thought with his eyes glowing. Then, he looked at Barky561 and NSynca, and finally, he turned to ElectricBlueKougra and smiled.

"OK, this is what will happen," said Gyka, "ElectricBlueKougra, I see Dark Faerie born blessings in you, so you will go in with my brother Rievie, taking Ally_A along to the Dark Faerie and distract her."

Ally_A blinked and said, "But the Dark Faerie will kick me out!"

"Don't worry," said Rievie, "You are my best friend, and if she kicked you out, it would be like she's kicking me out."

"He's right," said ElectricBlueKougra, "You are in safe hands here, Ally."

Gyka then took a look at the remaining, anxious, and excited group. He looked at NSynca and then said, "We are about the same stats, so we will work together for the potion."

NSynca nodded as Gyka turned to Barky561 and Cholena13 saying, "Cholena, you will be with Pakiest, or Yeszkar, or whatever she transforms into. In other words, stay with the witch under the tower. Barky will stay too for backup."

"All right," said NSynca, "Let's get moving."

ElectricBlueKougra, Rievie, and Ally_A went up to the door and ElectricBlueKougra and Rievie put their paws to the door and as they are magically examined, Rievie called out to an ear on the door, "We have brought my best friend, Ally_A!"

Then, the door examined Ally_A too and a mouth on the door automatically spoke, "Access approved." The huge door suddenly shot a hole in the middle and the hole got large enough for the three pets to go through. When they reached the gravity floor and to the hall where the Uber Dark Faerie was, they fell on their knees out of respect.

"So what is this about?" asked the Uber Dark Faerie, who was wearing an elegant dark dress sitting in the crown chair holding in her long delicate fingers a glass of white wine. Rievie put on his best sweet voice and said, "My sister and Ally's brother are married!"

"Oh, how sweet," said the Faerie with an eyebrow raised, "why was I not invited?"

"They weren't chosen for the Dark Faerie born blessings," said Ally_A quietly.

"Neither are you," snapped the Uber Dark Faerie with some temper.

"Please, dear," said ElectricBlueKougra, "calm down! We only wanted to share some good news!"

"Oh?" said the Uber Dark Faerie carelessly, "The other faeries are getting stronger is the good news?"

"Oh no!" said Rievie pleading, "Please listen!"

"You listen to me," said the Uber Dark Faerie, "and I listen to you only when I want to." She stood up with her eyes in the evil shape glowing and then clapped. Two dark faeries appeared at the clap and the Uber Dark Faerie said to them, "Take them to the East Tower where they will wait for me."

The dark faeries obeyed and took the three NeoPets to the East Tower where one of the Uber Dark Faerie's studying room was.

Meanwhile, Gyka and NSynca weren't having much luck either for NSynca had too many Light Faerie blessings and Gyka the opposite. Gyka passes the protection circle easily when NSynca couldn't even touch it. Finally, Gyka decided to go after the potion alone. It was very hard for the friends, and below them, Barky561 was waiting impatiently and Cholena13 was trying to keep the witch in control. Just then, the witch - in the form of Pakiest - flew up and swooped right for the West Tower. BOOM!!! Just as expected, Pakiest was blasted outward with fire over her body and she was screeching with confusion as nightmares appeared in her head. Finally she hit the pool and though the fire stopped, she was in a deep nightmare sleep, while injured physically. Barky561 and NSynca quickly rescued Pakiest out of the pool and then stared at the knocked out Eyrie.

"Uh-oh," breathed Cholena13 as she ran over too, "What are we going to do?"

"There is nothing we can do," said Barky561, "except healing her physically and then somehow awake her from this never-ending sleep."

"Never ending?" gasped NSynca, "Surely not that serious!"

"Oh yes it is," said Barky561, "You better still go in with Gyka and look out for him, you know."

"On the mission," replied NSynca as he ran back to where Gyka was already standing on the West Tower top.

"Somehow we can get you through!" said Gyka. NSynca nodded and then thought about Pakiest and how she got burned, which made him sweat with fear. Gyka reached out his paw to NSynca stretching right out of the protection circle, grabbed his paw and then pulled him in without a sweat.

"Yes!" said NSynca with a smile and they both rushed around the window trying to find a way in.

By now, ElectricBlueKougra, Rievie, and Ally_A were already taken to the East Tower and the Uber Dark Faerie was there too.

This was what she was saying to them, "What are you? A bunch of snails? Or maybe not if they have brains at all. Deary me, no. So why did you come here... oh yes, telling me about the wedding! How sweet... pregnant with twins too! You know what that means? Oh no, you don't, of course. You tell me, you Ally Usul, that they are not blessed with born Dark Faerie blessings meaning their children will have nothing from me either. As they get more of the other magic powers, poor me! I would be alone with my only Dark Faerie powers and that would be an advantage for you, right, Ally? And you too Rievie, to think why I blessed you is an outrage! Oh yes, of course, Kontana had my blessings, because he was good, instead of a punk like you Rievie. Oh yes, always using my magic, messing around with the other faeries, taking advantage of me. Is that right? Well, guess what, today is your lucky day. For example, you ElectricBlueKougra! Turn completely evil by killing Rievie and Ally_A, would you do it? Do it for me? Or even better, Rievie! How about you kill Ally_A for me to avoid trouble?"

The Uber Dark Faerie crackled with her evil laughter and Ally_A whispered through a mental note to Rievie, "I thought you said she was nicer than this!"

"She normally is," said Rievie mentally, "I guess we should have thought more about what should have been said!"

"Well, at least there should be enough time for Gyka and NSynca to get the potion," replied Ally_A on the mental note. ElectricBlueKougra tried a weak smile at the Uber Dark Faerie and tried pleading, "Just let us go! We will never offend you again! I promise!"

The Uber Dark Faerie laughed and said, "Oh I see, so you are begging now, for what? To get back to your sorry lives?! How interesting." And she shook her head with laughter. ElectricBlueKougra was shaking with fear by now and took a step back from the Uber Dark Faerie

"Hey," said Rievie, "don't scare ElectricBlueKougra. I mean, think about it, your highness. Why did you bless us at all? Because you knew that we were very capable of dark magic as well as other magic and that was why. Also, you trusted us, right? Besides, generations before were like us too, you know. There is no wrong having Ally_A here either since he is my friend, not to fight me against dark magic, right?"

"Right," said Ally_A, "Go Rievie!"

The Uber Dark Faerie stared at Rievie for a whole minute as if he just threw a bucket of water at her sobering her. Then she turned to ElectricBlueKougra and shook her head sadly saying, "Oh I'm so sorry! What am I doing? Of course Rievie! I'm so sorry for what I've said! You don't have sorry lives, you are some of the best Dark Magi that I chose of course!"

Rievie sighed with relief and smiled at the Faerie kindly, but then, the sound of breaking glass was heard and the Uber Dark Faerie narrowed her eyes muttering, "Who's for dinner today..."

She walked out slamming the door to the West Tower. Gyka smelled her from all the way and he jumped out of sight quickly, but NSynca had jumped and broke the window into the castle. The Uber Dark Faerie opened the door and saw NSynca on the floor in pain from jumping through the window. She was so angry and she didn't even scream. The Uber Dark Faerie's lips were thin enough for NSynca to realize that he was in big trouble.
