The Truth about Shirlie

That day, Easter held a fundraiser. She made a poster saying : Please donate Neopoints! My owner has gotten robbed, and we must find the culprit! We need your help!

It was a success! Just a week later, they had raised 700,000 Neopoints! Easter was stunned by all the Neopoints her fundraiser had made! They all went, including Dean and his pets, to the Notice Board and paid 700,000 Neopoints to get their message up.

This is what it said:
IMPORTANT! We have been robbed by a Yellow Kau belonging to a resident named Shirlie! If you know the whereabouts of these two, please contact us! This could prevent many others from being robbed too!

But after that, all they could do, was wait, and wait, and wait... "AHH! I'm so sick of waiting!" Dragonboy shouted. Courage the Lupe looked at him sternly. "You must be patient for good results." But it was true, they had all waited so long, that they were almost at the point of losing hope...

Knock, Knock, Knock. There was a quiet knock on the door. Easter answered the door. There was a tired, dirty girl standing outside. "Have you come to tell us anything you know about Shirlie or Milky?" Easter asked, happy that someone had finally come.

"Um, sort of...May I come in?" The girl asked timidly.

"Of course!"

After she sat down on the couch with the others, she spoke. "M-My name is....Shirlie." Everyone gasped.

Dragonboy glared at her. "Do you know what kind of trouble your Kau has caused?!" he demanded.

"I-I know all about it!" Then, she buried her face in her hands and started to cry. "It's not m-my fault! You've got to believe me!" she said between sobs.

"It's okay...we're not blaming anything on you." Easter said, gently, giving Dragonboy a dirty look.

"II got hacked!" Lindsey gasped.

"Maybe if you tell us what happened, we can help you," she said, to Shirlie.

"Well," Shirlie began, "I was planning to take a vacation to Happy Valley with my Buzz, FireWings, my Moehog, Spade, and my Kacheek, Rosalie. I didn't have many Neopoints since I had just gotten my Neopian license. So I didn't have enough money to put my other pet in a hotel. My other pet, Milky the Kau didn't want to go to Happy Valley because he had a cold. Well, anyway, I went into a restaurant, (message board) and asked for a baby-sitter who would do it for very little Neopoints. Surprisingly, I quickly got a response through Neomail from a girl named Anastasia! She seemed nice enough, so I let her have the job. I gave her my account key but now I realize that I never should have done that! She stole everything! She got my account key, molded into another shape, so that I'd never be able to use my extra one again! And now...I'm broke....I got a new license using the name, S.B. Carnigan. Shirlie Beth Carnigan. I know I can rebuild my home and earn Neopoints again, but what I really want back is my Kau! Poor Milky..."

"But wouldn't your Kau know that it wasn't you telling it to rob people?" Lindsey asked, curiously.

"That's just what I thought too...I don't know how that evil Anastasia got him to do it! Magic probably!"

"Don't worry, Shirlie! We'll get your Kau back! No matter what it takes!" Easter said, confidently.

"Yes. We'll do everything possible to get Milky back in your ownership!" Courage replied.

Shirlie wiped the tears out of her eyes. "You're all so sweet! I don't know what I could've done without you all!" Then, she gave all the Pets a big hug.
