I have over 100,000 neopoints, so a lot of neopians would call me rich. I am
very upset with what has been lately published in The Neopian Times, especially
Issue 35. There seem to be more and more poor people needing food and money
desperately. However, stuff has also been said about wealthy people like me
being "greedy" or that "most aren't good to their neopets," and other such insults.
In this article there are a few things I would like to point out. This article
was made to help defend more wealthy neopians, and help the poorer. First, in
NeoPets if you're rich it could be because you found an ultimate nerkmid or
won the lottery. However, most of the time people earn their money by buying
and selling items and slowly and steadily making profit. Second, all Neopians
are good pet owners. If they feed, play with, groom and most of all care and
love for their Neopets they are good Neopet owners. If you do this it doesn't
matter if you have 1,000 or 1,000,000 neopoints, you're a good Neopet owner.
Third, everyone starts off with just a little money. How you use it is what
counts. If I was in a brand new account I would open a shop right away and try
to buy and sell some food. Fourth, a lot of times people complain about Faeries
being too expensive. In my opinion, Faeries and most other magic items are luxury
items and should not cost as much as a slice of pizza.
Fifth, a lot of rich people donate to the money tree. If I sell 10 faeries,
I donate 50% of the money I made that day to the money tree. I wouldn't be suprised
if lots of other rich Neopians did too. Lastly, we all were once at that point
where we had 500 neopoints and we all know what it feels like. You'll get there
one day when you are the one helping the poor. Just keep playing. Who knows,
you might buy a skyrocketing stock and become a millionaire.
