Games: One Player's Review

By niteglori

I am tired of people complaining of being poor. It is VERY EASY to achieve a moderate level of comfort in Neopia. I've decided to give you guys my opinion on the various games. You can easily earn 2000-3000np in an hour just playing games. Plenty to pay for your pets foods and such.

Ask Lenny: Gives good neopoints but you have to know the answers. Find them quickly, but it only gives money the FIRST time you are asked a question.

Caption Contest & Storytelling Competition: Easy to play but hard to win. Big prizes, though. Doesn’t take a lot of time so why not submit one now and again?

Techo Says and The Grinch: These are great quick games to play, even if you're not very good. They are Simon Says type games and even if you only get to round 2 you have won 100np Each of these can be played 3 times a day...so 600np or more in about 10 minutes (or more if you're good).

Slide Puzzle: I don’t think the prize is worth the time invested, and unless you're good the prize isn't that much.

Guess the Card: Unless you are lucky this is not a good game to play for np – It cost nothing to play and the 5np prize does not cover your time. However, if you want to try and improve your pet's intelligence then by all means go for it, as it MAY improve your pets intelligence.

Poker: It costs 3 np and unless you want to play for a long time the chances of winning big are not enough to cover your entry fees.

Neopian Invaders: You are awarded 10 points per level completed. This is an easy game to get to at least level 15, since the multiplication problems asked are very easy – less than 12 x 12. When I started playing this game I only KNEW my multiplication tables through 12x12 and now I can go up to 16 and sometimes 18, so an added bonus to earning np is learning.

Theme Park: This is not worth the money you invest in it. I would advise against trying to use the Theme Park as a way to make money. There are many of them out there that have a 1np ride fee so the competition is very stiff.

Kiko Match and Pokemon Match: Very easy, and it awards np up to 3 times per day. Well worth playing for the np. No fee to play.

The Great NeoPet Hunt: Easy to play, but in my opinion it's not worth the time. No skill or luck involved, just click on the sponsors' pages and earn 2, 3, or 4 np per page visited. Try and play this once a day. Even though the nps are not much, these sponsors are the ones who pay Neopets' bills and allow us to play all these cool games.

Hungry Skeith, Kau Roundup and Grundo Snowthrow: These take a little practice and are more difficult games. Not worth the NP awards in my opinion, but if you want to practice you could earn some decent NP

Tic Tac Toe: not np awarding games.

Kacheek Seek: Great game, especially for beginners. It requires no skill, and you can easily earn 200np or more per pet. As an added bonus it makes your pets happy.

JubJub Blackjack: I could take it or leave it. I rarely play this game but if you play it correctly it is a fair source of np. This table will help you decide to stand or hit.

Bingo: Takes a lot of time but has potential for big bucks. Not worth the time though, unless you have a lot of spare time and have maxed out the games with the 3-a-day limit.

Pika-seek: No disadvantage to play as it is free and very easy. You get prizes of Pokemon stuff but it doesn’t sell well and just clutters up your inventory.

Neopian Lottery: Your chances of winning are about the same of reaching into a haystack and pulling out a needle...not worth the money.

Snow Wars: Good for winning Battledome snowballs but snowballs also don’t sell very well. It cost 25np to play so is not worth it to earn money but is to get ammunition.

Neo DJ: No NP awarded.

Codebreaker: The BEST game to play for np. The strategy is very simple and you can play it for a very long time, racking up a very high score and lots of np. In about and hour you can earn 3000 np.

Scorchy Slots: It takes time to win but if you are patient and play long enough then you can accumulate a bit. This is the game I use to play back when I started. I would play Badeek Seek (changed to Kacheek Seek now) until I had 200 np then play Scorchy Slots and every time I gained 100 I would put that in the bank.

Neo Wardrobe: Don’t know, it won't run on my computer...but I don’t think it awards NP anyway.

Dice-a-Roo: It costs 5 np to play so play and if you gain 10np or more in your pot without going up to the Blue Level then take the pot and start again, but if you have gained a level don’t quit for np. You can earn items or money from this.

Gormball: Costs 10 np, which most of the time you will get back, but the time you invest is not worth the prize. This game takes a long time if you have a modem or slow connection.

Neopian Stock Exchange: Not for the poor...the “cheap” stocks are not going to give you a good return for your investment, so you're better off using the money to stock your store.

Techo Safari and Catch a Coconut: Cute games, but no np.
