Stay Inside, Major Storm Ahead

by Gordon Nimmomatsu

Following yesterday's cool and rainy day in parts of Neopia, clearing skies will allow temperatures to recover into the 60s and 70s today ahead of a secondary cool front poised to sweep through tonight. The highs will be at or slightly below seasonal averages for late Gathering. The aforementioned cool front may trigger heavy showers in the eastern NeoLakes into Upstate Neo York later on, so cancel your weekend plans because these showers will hit hard and will be very wet (duh).

A cool-down is expected on Monday, as high pressure sets in. With the exception of the VirtuPet Space Station, high pressure will settle over central Neopia. Abundant sunshine, low relative humidity, and highs ranging from the 70s to the 80s (generally about 5 degrees below seasonal averages) will make for a delightful week. Thunderstorms in south Neopia will last all weekend, with long, soaking rains. So, if you want to stay dry, stay inside.

Dissimilar to the rest of Neopia, delightful fall weather is anticipated for Mystery Island, with only a few small exceptions. Five-star, chamber-of-commerce weather will once again grace the island. In fact, according to the Iisland Mystic, a few record highs may fall. Despite some typical morning low clouds, highs will still recover into the low to mid-80s. Widely scattered thundershowers are expected over the TikuTaku Island, but no severe storms are likely.
