What is a Guild?
A guild is a special interest club where you can meet people that enjoy the same things.

Where are the guilds?
To get to the Guilds go to "Shops", and then click on the 'Guilds' link in the top toolbar.

How do I pronounce Guild?
Guild is pronouced 'gild'.

Is there an easy way to find a guild?
To find a guild, you should click on the link at the top of the main guild page that says "Search". Enter a keyword for the type of guild that you would like to find, e.g Chia Lover, or search by the title of the guild. Then click "Find".

How do I join a guild?
Go to the guild you want to join and click on the name, then you need to go to the bottom of the screen on the left hand side and there should be a link that says "Join Guild" in the Options area, click it.

How do I create a guild of my own?
Click the link at the top of the guild page that says "Create a New". This will take you to a page where you will need to fill out a form. Please remember to read out Terms and Conditions before creating your guild. The guild areas are monitored 24 hours a day, so any unsuitable guilds will be removed and offending accounts frozen/warned depending on the offense.

How do I fill out the 'Create a Guild' Form?
First select the Neighborhood that you want your guild to be located in from the drop down box, after that type in the name of your new guild. Next enter a Guild description, think hard about what you want this to say because this is going to be one of the first things that people see that will help them decide whether or not to join your guild. You should now type in your welcome message to your guild members in the space provided. After you have done that you have a big decision, do you want your guild to be private or not? Next have fun customizing your guild with colors and titles for your members and council. Remember that it is a good idea to preview what your guild will look like by clicking the "Click here for preview" link under the customize color area.

Is there a quick way to get to my guild?
Yes, once you are a member of a guild just click on the "Teleport" link at the top of the guilds main page.

How do I promote my Guild?
If you want to get your guild known, you can post guild updates, activities and other special events on the Guild message board. Please do not spam the boards, this will just give your guild a bad reputation. You can also post an advert on the Noticeboard saying why people should join your guild. Each week you can try to get your guild on the front page of the Neopian Times. Make your guild description interesting and more people will want to join it. There are many more ways to promote your guild if you just use your imagination, you could try to get some of your guild's graphics in people's shops etc.

Can I get a position in a guild?
Yes, if there are any positions left. Go to the Guild Council area on the left hand side of the screen. If there are any positions left they will say "Apply For Position", click it. The owner of the guild is the person who ultimatly decides if you are going to become a council member so make sure you do a good job when filling out the application.

Can I change a member's rank in my guild?
Yes. Click on the "Guild Members" link at the bottom left hand side of the screen in the Admin area. Click on the name of the member you want to change the rank for. On the next page you will find a check box to click that says change rank. Check that and then click the button at the bottom of the screen.

Can I delete members of my own guild?
Yes you can. If you click on "Guild Members" link at the bottom left hand side of the screen in the Admin area, this will bring up a list of your guild members. Click on the name of the person you want to delete. The next page that comes up will have a check box that you can click to delete a member. You can also change a members rank and suspend them on this screen.

How do I leave/quit a guild?
To leave a guild, go to the bottom left hand side of the screen in the options area. The last link should be a link that says "Leave Guild". This will remove you as a member of the guild.

Can I delete my guild if I don't want it anymore?
Yes, but you must delete all of your members first. Then you can click a link at the left hand side of the page at the bottom in the Admin area that reads "Delete Guild". Also, you should consider giving leadership to the second council member if you have one.

Can I restrict the people that can join my guild?
Yes. You can make the guild private and restrict invitations to be an admin privilege. If you don't give the privilege to anyone else, only people you invite will be able to join. To make your guild private, select "Yes" in your guild layout preferences. Then check the box for admin-only invitations just below it. You can grant the ability to send invitations by checking the box called "Invite privilege" on the guild members admin section.

How do I get more people to join my guild?
The key to getting people to join your guild is to advertise. If people do not know it exists then they won't join it. Also, don't forget to add five descriptive keywords about your guild so that people can find it in searches.

How do I change the appearance of my guild?
To change how your guild looks go to the Admin area and click on the "Guild Layout" link. When the new screen pops up, click on the "Modify Guild Preferences" link.

How do I change the guild logo?
Go to the Admin area and click on the "Guild Layout" link. When the new screen pops up, click on the "Upload/Change Guild Logo" link. Find the logo that you want by using the Browse button. The click the "Upload The Guild Logo" button, you should now have a new logo on your guild.

Can I change the guild hierarchy after I have created the guild?
Yes, go to the Admin area and click on the "Guild Layout" link. When the new screen pops up, click on the "Modify guild Hierarchy" link. This will take you to the page where you can make your changes.

If there a way for me to know what is happening in the guild?
Yes, check the guild calendar, and you can also check the guild message board.
