 Petpet Name: Cupcake Owner: astronomi Pet Name: Kaithi Breed: Warf About Cupcake: "Hey Kai, what are you doing?" My Gelert ears perk up as I see my older sister Kaweri walk into my room. Her big Draik eyes squint down at me. "Nothing, nothing bad or weird or anything, I swear! Don't tell Mom, okay?" I rush, quickly shoving everything on the floor under my bed. Kawi raises one eyebrow inquisitively but doesn't say anything else. "I just came here to tell you that I'm leaving to run some errands. You'll be home alone, so you'd better not ruin everything." She eyes my cluttered room, curling her lip as she sees all the candy wrappers strewn on the ground. I nod obediently. Kawi turns on her heel and flounces out of the room, muttering something about "...Gelerts having absolutely no dignity!" Flopping down onto the ground, I let out a sigh of relief. "The big bad Draik is gone. You can come out now, Cupcake." I reach under my bed and pull out a tiny Warf. He's clutching a blue ball in his little paws. Giggling, I hug the Petpet to my chest. My owner has no problem with Petpets -- her other pets, a.k.a. my siblings, have companions of their own and she doesn't mind. My other Draik sister, Marisey, tells me that I'll get one eventually. Eventually seems like centuries from now, though. I found Cupcake wandering lost and alone in Neopia Central on a rainy day. I hid him in my scarf and smuggled him home. It's been about a month now and I'm still too afraid to tell my family, but there's no way I could leave that tiny puppy all by himself! Who knows what could happen to a little Petpet like Cupcake in Neopia? I set down Cupcake on the floor, letting him run loose. After I had taken him home, dried him off, and fed him some scraps from dinner, he turned out to be a little ball of energy. Any other Neopet would find him exhausting, constantly wanting to go outside and play, but lucky for him I'm quite the ball of energy myself. Us Gelerts, we're pretty athletic 'pets. Just ask anyone! Snapping out of my daydream of gathering a herd of Warfs and becoming the Warf queen, I realize Cupcake is nowhere to be found. "Cupcake? CUPCAKE?" I yell, peeking under the bed. Whirling around, I notice that the door is ajar. I leap across the piles of toys and walk into the hallway. "Cupcake?" I call out, thanking my lucky stars that nobody else is in the Neohome. I hear a tiny yelp in the direction of the kitchen. I race downstairs, nearly tripping on my tail. "Come here, boy!" Right as my paw hits the final step, I crash directly into a light blue mass. "Slow down, Kai!" I hear a gentle voice say. I look up to find Marisey smiling at me. "Is this what you're looking for?" She holds up a squirming Cupcake. "Um... I can explain!" I bark, reaching toward the Warf. "You don't have to," she laughs. "Nobody is gonna take him away from you." I look down at my paws, then back to my sister. "Really? I can keep him?" "Yes, Kai. You can keep him forever and ever." "Forever and ever and ever and ever and--" "WOOF!"
