Quote of the Week

For a brief few seconds, all he saw was light. Then, as quickly as the lightness had come, it was gone, replaced by the dark, harsh reality of Hirsham’s current situation. Slowly, Hirsham gathered his senses. He observed that the moment of brightness had only been a streak of treacherous lightning flashing across the cloudy, inky sky. He tasted salt in the air. He felt rain beating down on all sides, as he struggled to maintain his balance on the rocking boat. He smelled charred wood, freshly burned from the lightning strike. He heard shouts from his crew, who were fruitlessly attempting to calm the chaos on board. This voyage had gone disastrously wrong. The boat was far from Krawk Island by now, and whichever way Hirsham looked, there was no sign of land.

The Travelling Neopian: Shenkuu

Hello! I have returned once again in time for the summer months - arguably the busiest time of year for residents all around Neopia to do some travelling. We are so lucky we live in such a unique place, we have so many lands to discover and people to meet. This series is to help introduce all of these interesting places to you, the reader. This is the second installment of the series - the previous one covered all about Mystery Island so be sure to read that if you plan on visiting!

The Symbolism Of The AC Team Logos

We all have our favourite Neopian land, and as such a team that participates in the annual Altador Cup. Many support their chosen team year after year, but have you ever wondered why your teams logo looks the way it does? In this article we will be exploring the appearance of the Altador Cup team logos, their symbolism and how they represent their land.

Queen Fyora's Guide to Feeling Beautiful

Our ethereal Queen Fyora is all things kind, gracious, a wonderful ruler, a strong leader, and a beautiful faerie. Everyone who knows her can vouch that the secret to how she is able to take care of her precious Faerieland so well is because she knows to take care of herself first. In this day and age, self-care is one of the most important forms of love that an individual can showcase to the world. If Fyora did not love and dote on herself first, how can anyone expect her to do the same for Faerieland?

Aiyrorah shuddered as she walked through the small moss-covered cavern. An unnatural breeze swept past her, and she hated to imagine the depths and endless miles of tunnels that scattered around her, above and below. She could only feel a sense of panic as she stepped cautiously around enormous thousand-year-old stalagmites, and stopping every few feet to listen to the sounds around her, straining to hear voices of her family. Thinking back to the events just an hour before, she was frustrated with her choice to wander off. Aiyrorah knew she shouldn’t have strayed, even for a split second, but she could simply not help her curiosity when a sparkle in the tide pool caught her eye. She could see the small object emitted a translucent turquoise green light, just barely illuminating the bottom of the pool on which it lay. Aiyrorah needed to find out what it was. She took her lantern, and crept away from the group tour in the direction of the glowing pool.

"850 Meters: A Kass Basher Tale" by mimitchi880
The second I hear the fanfare, I know I’m in for it. You see, it’s one thing to be a plushie modeled after the great hero Kass—well, hero to the Darigan Citadel, at least—and have the pleasure and privilege of wearing a well-known face instead of looking like an ordinary Neopet. That by itself would have been a nice life. Some little Darigan Acara or Skeith would have begged their owner to take me home, and I would have been played with, well-worn, loved. But no. It’s another thing entirely to be a Kass plushie who spends year after year being dropped from a tree and whacked around on the pretense that Kass just happened to sort-of get corrupted and be the antagonist in the Battle for Meridell that one time. But is that any reason to doom a stuffed Eyrie to eternal pummeling? I’m innocent! I’m stuffing and buttons! I’m not a crooked overlord! Do I look like the real Kass?

He must act; his crew was relying on him. Hirsham the Krawk bolted up the stairs on the back of the ship.
