20 ways to spread Neopets joy!

      1. Gifting. The most obvious method of putting a smile on someone’s face. Players often keep their wish and goal lists in their signatures on the Neoboards, so why not take a gander at a few and surprise them? It doesn’t have to be an expensive gesture- maybe they still need some of the cheaper stamps for their Faerieland album, or they have a goal of collecting 1000 Cheery Plants. Whatever you send, it’ll be appreciated.

     2. Lending. This would make you incredibly popular over on the Avatars/Neosignatures Board. Lots of avatars require owning different pets or items, some of which could be quite unobtainable for casual players. Are you the owner of a Halloween Lupe, Pea Chia or perhaps a wacky Coconut Jubjub? A brief holiday with another Neopian might make your pet and their sitter very happy!

      3. Beauty Contests. Over at the Art Board (and often in signatures on other boards) are many Neopians looking to win a Beauty Contest trophy for their pet. Head on over and feast your eyes on some wonderful art before dishing out votes for your favourites!

     4. Assist with a quest. When you receive a Faerie quest, you lose access to the Shop Wizard, which leads Neopians to the Quests board. You can swoop in and save the day by using your own search tool to find them their item. If you’re feeling really generous, you could even buy it and gift it to them!

     5. Compliment someone. Everyone loves to be flattered! Why not stop by someone’s board to tell them you love their pets’ outfit, or mail a friend and appreciate their new lookup? It will get you everywhere, promise!

     6. Donate to the Money Tree. Many new Neopians initially rely on the Money Tree to pick up some nice new items, a few Neopoints or maybe even a Neocash item or two! Have a spring clean of your SDB and donate your findings for double the benefits.

     7. Help someone. Over at the aptly named Help board are Neopians that require- you guessed it- help! Perhaps you can lend some wisdom and put them out of their misery.

     8. Thank TNT. Running this site, fixing the bugs, releasing new content, updating plots, answering our endless Editorial questions- being a TNT staffer must be hard work! Send them encouraging vibes and rave about how much you love their site!

     9. Lend your support. Maybe there’s a new Guild starting up without too many members yet that you could advertise for, or a new Neopian starting their first shop you could pick up some new shinies from.

     10. Clear the Rubbish Dump. This area of the site may not be everyone’s immediate first choice for a visit, but for some determined Neopians it is the home of a rare avatar. You can take 10 items a day from the dump, so put a peg on your nose and help clear out the mounds of Strange Green Seeds and Zeenana Peels! Quick, before someone slips on one!

     11. Reconnect with an old friend. Maybe there’s a user you used to chat with daily on your Guild board or someone you frequently traded with. Drop them a message and ask how they’ve been for a guaranteed way to brighten someone’s day.

     12. Make a wish. The Neopian Plaza is home to the legendary Wishing Well, which is rumoured to grant desired items to a few lucky recipients. Spread some happiness by using your wishes to ask for someone else’s goal item.

     13. Encourage someone. Many Neopians create boards to try and further their goals- perhaps to trade for their dream pet, look for an avatar lend or seek that perfect Neocash item. Bumping for that long on your own can be lonely, so why not pay a visit and post an encouraging message? I’m sure it will be appreciated.

     14. Start a discount shop. After your earlier SDB raiding, you’ve probably found some items you have no use for. You could start your own yard sale and sell items at a reduced rate. You’ll soon have many excited visitors!

     15. Spread board cheer. Everyone in Neopia knows about the famous summer Altador Cup, where teams from across the world compete in sporting events to bring glory to their homeland. It’s lesser-known, however, that diehard Altador Cup teams chat year-round over at the Site Events board. Why not pay them a visit? You’ll be a welcomed fresh face and you might even make new friends or find a team to join! Oh, and speaking of long-suffering Boards, the Kadoatery chat over at Games might need some encouragement too…

     16. Send fanmail! Writers of the Neopian Times love to hear people enjoyed their work, and maybe you’ve read a comic recently that you loved. Mail the author and let them know- I promise it would make their day! (Please note reader, this is not a hint)

     17. 1 Neopoint trades. A particular favourite with Guilds, 1np trades involve users creating a trading post lot with a variety of items that could be expensive, cheap, colourful or just plain wacky. Encourage users to bid 1np and an item they think is funny. Result: happiness for all involved!

     18. Impart wisdom. Maybe over your Neopets career you’ve amassed a specialist skill- be it the best way to feed a Kadoatie or the exact method of getting 14,500 points in Ice Cream Machine (If this is you, please share). I’m sure many would love to learn.

     19. Congratulate an achievement. The Avatar and Games board are rife with overachievers gaining high scores and avatars left, right and centre. Drop by and give someone a well-deserved virtual applause.

     20. Spread joy to yourself! That’s right, this guide isn’t just about helping others. In this idea- hooray- you get to treat yourself! Maybe you usually resist the Nerkmid machine because logically, you might earn more Neopoints by selling them instead of using them. But go on, be bold- take the chance! You never know, you might just win that paint brush you’ve been saving for. Either way, you’ll have fun.
