Ways to Make Neopoints without Playing (Flash) Games

by kaitlinhoneybee

--------

Habitarium, Key Quest, Hannah and the Pirate Caves may be gone, but they are not forgotten!

Seriously though, after a two-year hiatus from the site I was surprised to see that Habitarium had left. That game provided me with a steady supply of Neopoints needed to keep up with my lifestyle of luxury and upon coming back to the site I steadily blew it all on avatar hunting. I wondered how I had managed to save up Neopoints before, as I had always had the same tendency toward spending my Neopoints on avatar related quests (some successfully and some not so successfully *cough* Edna *cough*). How could it be that I spent all my saved up Neopoints with nothing saved left?

Suddenly, it struck me. I hadn’t been playing games the way I used to. Not only was I not playing games like Habitarium and Key Quest, I had stopped playing games altogether. Part of this was probably due to the fact that I was no longer able to play Hannah and the Pirate Caves or Ice Caves as a result of the ending of the software. There is still Kreludor Caves, but I am a pirate ice princess, darn it! Not some space explorer! Anyway, the fact of the matter was that I was broke. I needed to make money. After so long though, this seemed like a gargantuan task. To help other people, I will outline my way back to Neopian riches. It may seem like a long journey back to where you used to be!

My first tip is: Do all the dailies. The ones that award Neopoints are particularly important here, if your focus is to make money. I enjoy most dailies, but there are some that take Neopoints away. If you like to take chances, absolutely do those. However, I will list some of the ones that are free (or mostly free).

Coltzan’s Shrine: Sometimes when Coltzan is very generous you will find a Dubloon. Sometimes he increases your pet’s Battledome statistics. Either way, it’s free, so visit Coltzan’s Shrine today!

Forgotten Shore: This is mostly free. The map pieces only cost a few hundred NP total, and with the lustrous reward of thousands of Neopoints or Pirate Morphing Potions among other items, this daily is definitely worth it!

Fruit Machine: For the sake of paint brushes that I have never won, this free machine can be quite lucrative! I highly recommend doing it every day (if you do something every day, you have to get lucky some time...right?)

Discarded Blue Grundo of Prosperity: This friendly little fellow can give prizes that range the gamut from a few thousand Neopoints to a cuddly new toy for your pet! It’s fun just to go and see what surprise you’ll get!

Trudy’s Surprise: Yes, of course! Trudy has elevated her game from a toy box to a machine that gives the gold! Play every day and you will see your Neopoint count explode.

You are probably thinking to yourself “Of course I do all the dailies, but I don’t have a consistent cash flow…I don’t have time to play a bunch of games and the Neopoint to score ratio isn’t that good for the ones I do like!”

Well my friend, you are in luck as I am not very good at most games on the site. Many of my high scores are mainly a combination of luck, dedication, and a bit too much time on my hands. Many game guides are written by people who seem to have won every single game trophy and avatar on the site. I assure you I am not that person! Here are my top five games to play that are not Flash games.

Dice-A-Roo King Roo’s phenomenal effort to find a game for Roo Island sure paid off. For me and you that is! Dice-A-Roo is all about rolling the dice. Once you reach the green dice, you can win food and more! Reach the illustrious sixth dice and you’ll have a chance to roll for the jackpot and the chance for a 10x multiplier. The food can later be sold in your shop.

Kiss the Mortog Blech. Well, at least you get Neopoints! A new Mortog will appear each round, making it statistically harder to win, so I tend to take the Neopoints once I reach 5,900. 50 NP a pop makes this game have a profit margin of 5,850!

Double or Nothing It’s literally flipping a coin! I tend to take the cash pot once I’ve reached 320 NP, but if you’re feeling lucky you can keep on flipping. For 10 cents a round, this is definitely worth it!

Plushie Tycoon For the tycoon in all of us, Plushie Tycoon is the answer! Create plushies and sell, sell, sell! You will be surprised by how fun this is! If you manage to make a profit, you’ll be handsomely rewarded!

Food Club This is integral for older accounts as you can exponentially increase your Neopoint count by playing Food Club! Pay attention to the food preferences and allergies as well as the menu (if someone is allergic to a food, they likely won’t do well!) and place your bet!

If you like none of those things, the one other important thing to make Neopoints is: Sell stuff. That’s right, dust off that old shop of yours and start using it! If you have an older account or if you at one point obtained the Pack Rat Avatar, sell your stuff! You might be thinking, “Well, I’m saving it for when it appreciates in value later!”. To that, I say again: sell your stuff! Most of it will likely not increase in value and if you want Neopoints now, then you need to sell now. Increase your shop size with the Neopoints you earned from all of the other suggestions and see how fast you rake in the dough!

And one extra tip: The easiest games to play for some NP are Smug Bug Smite, Turmac Roll, and Kass Basher! The concepts in each game are very straightforward and the controls are easy to manage! Add this to all your other income and you’ll be sure to be making big bucks in no time!
