GAMES ROOM – Are you looking for a new game to play? A game that is not only fun,
but can also earn you thousands of Neopoints a day? And do you love Pterii? Then
you’ll love this game! It’s called Pterattack.
Sure, you’ve seen it in the Action Games. Maybe even thought about trying
it out sometime. Or maybe you do like it, but don’t know much about it. Whatever
the case, this article will teach you how to master your skills in this exciting
Tyrannian game!
How to play Pterattack
You play as the green Pteri and start with five lives. You need to shoot all
of the evil pterodactyls with various weapons. Use the arrow keys to move the
green Pteri and the spacebar to shoot. Watch out for the red Grarrl who will
come up from the bottom of the screen. One nasty chomp from him and that will
cost you a life. You also need to avoid any color pterodactyls, as they will
take a life away also.
Orbs come in four colors: red, blue,
green and red/white.
These can give you an upgrade on your weapon and help you to defeat the pterodactyls
easier. Here is a guide to help you understand better
Orb/Weapon Guide
Red Orbs
1 red orb = Pteri-shooter
2 red orbs = Pteri-blaster
3 red orbs = HealingSpringSpecial
4 red orbs = BlastAwayRay
5 red orbs = AllTheWayRay
Green Orbs
1 green orb = Spreader
2 green orbs = Jr. Sweeper
3 green orbs = AutoSpreader
4 green orbs = ReloaderDeluxx
5 green orbs = Mecha-Blaster
Blue Orbs
1 blue orb = RainbowGun
2 blue orbs = Lil’Blaster
3 blue orbs = Sparkshooter5000
4 blue orbs = TheBoro-Vanisher
5 blue orbs = Double-FistedPhaser
Red/White Orbs
1 red/white orb = Tadow
2 red/white orbs = thatsawrap
3 red/white orbs = Mr.Bones
Okay, if you’re a little confused about the guide above, I’ll explain it.
You start off automatically with the Pteri-shooter, which is a red orb. If you
get another red orb, you’ll move from a Pteri-shooter to a Pteri-blaster. Just
say you see a blue orb coming down, and you take that one. You do NOT start
where you left off on the red orb, you start from the beginning of blue, which
for blue is a RainbowGun.
For instance, if you have the 1st green orb, Spreader, you should try to stick
to the other green orbs. Try to get orbs of the same color as yours. BUT, do
not confuse the red orbs with the red/white orbs. The red/white orbs are different
because they flash from red to white.
The Pterodactyls
The Pterodactyls have their own color guide as well. On level one, you start
with the Pteri-shooter and shoot all of the dark orange-colored Pterodactyls.
But on level two, the dark orange-colored pterodactyls mix with the red pterodactyls.
And on level three, the dark orange-colored and red pterodactyls mix with the
green pterodactyls. With each new level you move into, a new color of pterodactyls
appear for you to shoot.
The catch is, you get more points for shooting the new color pterodactyls.
Here is a point guide for the different-colored pterodactyls:
Level 1 Dark Orange = 1 Point
Level 2 Red = 2 Points
Level 3 Dark Green = 3 Points
Level 4 Dark Blue = 4 Points
Level 5 Lime Green = 5 Points
Level 6 Light Blue = 6 Points
Level 7 Orange = 7 Points
Level 8 White = 8 Points
The point system above is accurate only if you play on the “easy” level. If
you set the level to “intermediate”, you get x2 your points. So instead of getting
one point for the dark orange Pteris, you would get two. Instead of getting
two points for the red Pteris, you would get four, and so on and so forth. However,
if you set the level to “hard” it is x3 the points for each pterodactyl.
In this game, the pterodactyls aren’t the only enemies you need to look out
for. To make things more difficult, you need to steer clear of the red Grarrl.
He will appear from the bottom of the screen and try to eat you. When he appears
up then down, stay out of his vertical path and you’re good to go. If you get
too close to him he will eat you and you will lose a life.
Now you have learned the basics to playing the game Pterattack: we’ve discussed
the point guide and weapons guide. Having said all of that, there still are
a few things you need to keep in mind while playing:
Some Reminders
- Stick to the center of the screen. Flying too high will cost you a life
from a Pterodactyl and flying too low is a risk of been eaten by the Grarrl.
- On Level 4, the new color Pteri you get is dark blue. If you’re playing
on “easy” he can get you four points if you shoot him. But the catch is, while
all of the other Pteris travel vertically, the dark blue ones travel horizontally.
Watch out for these… they can pop out when you least expect it!
- Don’t take on a crowd of pterodactyls without a strong enough weapon. If
there are six green pterodactyls coming your way and all you have is a RainbowGun,
there’s going to be trouble. Try to avoid these groups of pterodactyls, or
you could lose a couple of lives.
- Remember not to jump from one color to the other. Try to stick to one for
best results and a stronger weapon.
An Extra Tip
Here is a tip that I’ve learned from a friend that earned me hundreds
of more points. I usually play on the “intermediate” level, so when the
Level 6 light blue pterodactyls show up, they’re worth 12 points. They only
come down on the left side of the screen, while most of the other colors
show up anywhere. If you stick to that side, you can round up a pile of
points when they show up. Note: The light green (Level 5) pterodactyls show
up exclusively on the right side of the screen so you can do that same thing.
Sticking to one side is a bit risky, however, because the red Grarrl could
show up under you, but if you reel in as many points as I do, then it’s
worth it.
Conclusion
Well, “Playmobil’s Pterattack Guide” comes to an end and I believe we have
discussed everything you need to know. So get out there and make some good Neopoints.
I am now officially signing out… this is Playmobil, saying: “Excuse me while
I go play some Pterattack!”
