 Daily Activities To Enhance Your Neopets Experience

Whether you are a new player to Neopets, returning player, or have been an active Neopian for many years...we can all agree there's A LOT of fun happening here to keep us busy! Some of us are strictly in it for the games, while others may be in it for the avatar hunting, building a community with other players, collecting, or much more! Sometimes we get so stuck in our routines here on Neopets that we have to stop and ask ourselves, "Am I getting the most out of my Neopets experience?" In this article, I break down the top daily & weekly activities to accomplish on Neopets! Some things may sound like common knowledge, while other things could be a delightful refresher for new/older players. Hopefully this article can remind you of all the fun there is to enjoy on this site, challenge you to branch out more in Neopia, and give you more ideas and inspiration while playing! Now....let's dive in! It's only fair that we break down the top list of Neopets activities into 3 main categories: Dailies, Player Maintenance, and Achievements. Choose to read them all, or reference only the specific areas of the site that you'd like to further enhance your experience in--the choice is yours! DAILIES 1. Daily and Weekly Quests: If you're not completing your daily and weekly quests...What are you doing?! Between winning random prizes and points daily, to working towards a more valuable weekly prize item, it's silly to not take advantage of this awesome part of the site. 2. Trudy's Surprise: Much like the daily & weekly quests, Trudy's Surprise rewards you with a growing amount of daily neopoints, with a grand prize of 100,000 NPs after playing consecutively for 25 days. All of this for a small ask: click to spin--that's it! 3. Free Food: Visiting the Soup Kitchen, Giant Jelly in Jelly World, or the Giant Omelette on the Tyrannian Plateau is a quick and easy way to keep your Neopets happily fed--for free! 4. Spinning Wheels: When I open my laptop and log onto Neopets for the day, I know I will most likely be here a while--which is why I always start by spinning the Wheel of Monotony! This is the longest-running wheel so you may as well play while it spins! Other instant-gratification fueling wheels to spin include the Wheel of Excitement in Faerieland, Wheel of Knowledge in Brightvale, Wheel of Mediocrity in Tyrannia, Wheel of Misfortune in the Haunted Woods--or if you're a big spender....the Wheel of Extravagance! 5. Visiting the Money Tree: Even in Neopia, Inflation has become a real thing. With this being said, why WOULD you turn down up to 10 free items a day? I've even seen Neggs and Paintbrushes donated before! The possibilities are endless--but you better be quick!
PLAYER MAINTENANCE 1. Managing your Shop: Adding items you'd like to sell, researching new price changes, checking your shop till, and customizing your store front are all things we could be doing a lot more often! Besides, the reward for the upkeep is making more Neopoints--and who doesn't want that? 2. Engaging on Neoboards: If you are not participating in conversations on the Neoboards, you are truly missing out! I have found some of the most generous, helpful, insightful players on the Neoboards. There's not a topic that isn't covered over there. The more you participate, the more you're part of the awesome Neopets Community. 3. Take Care of Your Pets: While feeding and grooming your Neopets is definitely a "must" when it comes to daily activities, there's so much more TLC you could be putting into your beloved pets. From painting and customizing them, creating unique backgrounds, training them, and increasing how many Rare Foods they've eaten or number of books they've read--the possibilities are endless! 4. Playing Games: There's so many games to be played on Neopets that it's easy to fall into a routine of only playing the ones we know we're good at! But did you know there's an avatar for just playing a lot of games, period? Yeah, the Top Gamer app is only awarded to those who have submitted scores to 250 different games. Sounds like you have a lot more playing to do, huh?? Have fun, branch out, practice, win neopoints, earn avatars. There's so many reasons to play games daily! ACHIEVEMENTS 1. Avatar Hunting: There's absolutely nothing cooler than visiting someone's profile and seeing their avatar account--NOTHING! Some are earned quickly, while others require winning battles in the battledome, making the highscore table on your favorite games, or waiting until it's the right day, during the right event, with the right pet/items. They are fun, creatively challenging, and you can display your proudest one over on the Neoboards--it's a win win. 2. Feeding a Kadaotie: While the Kadoatery is FULL of picky Kadoaties--some of which, with expensive taste--it's fun to challenge yourself to feed one. Waiting until there's one available to feed, tracking down the item it requests, and completing the feed before someone else does is such a fun rush! And while it landed a spot in the long-term achievements due to how challenging it can be to complete it at times, you get a trophy on your profile for feeding at least one! Now, how great would that look? 3. Faerie Quests: Some come with avatars, all come with rewards. Help a faerie, level up, and be given some sweet items! 4. Map Collecting: Maps on Neopets are quite fun to collect and usually unlock benefits once you have all the pieces! For instance, Secret Laboratory Maps unlock the lab ray, and Treasure Maps unlocks access to the Forgotten Shore! They are fun to collect, and come with excitement you can take advantage of daily as well!
