Catch that Meerca! An Idiot-Proof Guide to Meerca Chase

by AliceWeazley

Everyone knows about that fast, you better concentrate, I'm a Negg stealer game known as Meerca Chase. The one where you race around trying to get the Yellow, Rainbow, Blue, Green, Silver or gold Neggs, avoiding the Red ones and trying not to hit the ever-so-evil walls.

But few of us have mastered it. I mean... I've never even gotten into the high score table! Getting one of the highest scores doesn't mean you have mastered it. There's no perfect score. Here are some tips I've found useful:

Tip Number one: Choose the 'Fast mode.' I think this is the easiest way... Choosing easy might make you fall asleep and run into a wall.

Tip Number two: Minimize or close all other windows. Meerca Chase involves TOTAL concentration.

Tip number three: Play on a computer that isn't cable, DSL, T1, T3 or that has any fast modems like that. I found that when I played on my father's 56k modem computer... (it's VEEERY slow) I got the highest scores. I can't get over 300 on my mom's.

The key to getting a high score is that ever-so-rare FISH NEGG. Worth 400 points on the fast mode. This is your key to getting over 600, if you can at least get 200 without it. It's VERY rare when you can get 2 or 3 of these... That has never happened to me.

This is idiot-proof, so that means EVERYONE can master it. Follow the tips I've given you above, then of course there's always those EVIL pet owners who get a cheat code... DO NOT consult to that. That makes YOU a nasty lying cheater who doesn't know anything ;)

You have to have really fast fingers to get that Green Negg on the wall and avoid running into it (the wall). Practice first on medium doing that, pressing the down and left arrow button really fast. This helps getting out of tight messes.

Tip Number four: Avoid going in circles, trapping yourself. This is one fix you can't get out of.

Tip Number five: Do not try to play on the Shift mode. This gives you 12 points for a yellow Negg, and the Fish Negg gives you 600 automatically. I find this VERY tempting, but, then again, The hard level gives you more Practice and you can never quite figure out which button--left or right, because sometimes it's opposite.

That's it for now, I hoped that helped! So I'll see you in the high score table!
