Tiya the Uber-Light Faerie
“Hello…” said the figure on the rock. “I was the one
who spoke to you from the woods.” The figure spoke shyly. I soon recognized
it as a Light Faerie. “I am Tiya the Uber-Light Faerie. I filled your
heads with that sudden knowledge, and I am here to aid you. The Darkness
Faerie has declared war against Faerieland and you just helped us discover
her weakness… when you to united in the forest you destroyed her power
on the area.”
I happily looked at my new owner, Asrman1, and climbed
upon his shoulder.
“But what are you doing with us?” he asked.
“Why, what do you think?!” she asked. “We’re going to
stop the Darkness Faerie!”
“Aren’t you going to tell…maybe…the Faerie Queen?”
She grinned, and leaped upon my paw. “I’m ready for a
solo mission…and I offer to be your allies…”
“Uh…” I said. “It’s an…honour,” I said.
“C’mon…” she continued. “We’ll sneak onto the jet…”
“Y’know, I don’t think you’d be able to defeat the Darkness
Faerie by yourself,” I said. Asrman1 looked at me. He got the idea I wanted
to battle. Already. But he didn’t know how strong I really was. I had
made a pack of Kougras faint once with three single swipes. I had also
wounded Hounder, my former friend.
“Oh, yeah?” she said. “And why’s that?”
“And aren’t all faeries?!” With that, she swiped her
wand just in front of our faces by tossing it in the air and instantly
the blades of grass grew around us… Tiya was taller than us. And I got
the feeling we had shrunk, and the grass hadn’t grown. “Now you know how
it feels. At least I have magic to aid me.”
This Uber-Faerie was crazy. Did she know how to undo
the spell? “Yeah…now we know,” I said. “But how do you expect us to get
to the jet before it leaves this small?”
“Er…”
“’Er…’ as in you can’t change us back or ‘Er…’ as in
you’re sad to admit that you have to?!” Asrman1 yelled.
“Er…” was all she said. She then took flight and I did
the same to follow her. I noticed Asrman1 couldn’t fly so I went back
to get him. My wings beat as hard as they could. That Uber-Light Faerie
wasn’t going anywhere! But, then again, she was, and her long dress was
tailing behind her. That’s what caught my eye – the dress. I spat out
a small burst of fire just long enough to reach the dress and it set on
fire. She shrieked and landed on the ground, stopped, dropped, and rolled.
She looked pathetic. I caught up and landed beside her, and Asrman1 hopped
off and grabbed her hands.
“Change us back!” we yelled in unison.
“Not yet…” she answered. “I just thought of something…follow
me!” So we did, mostly because we didn’t want to lose her and be stuck
this tiny. We swiftly flew above the grass unseen, and Asrman1, strangely
light, clung tightly so as not to lose his grip. Soon enough, we reached
the jet and entered it unseen within seconds of it shutting. “I’ll change
you back once we get there. We must stay unseen…not a problem for me but
one formerly for you. Now you see the advantages and disadvantages.”
“No…not a moral!” I gasped. We all laughed, because none
of us could help it. It was strange standing right next to a tiny Faerie
at the same size of you…strange enough seeing a human, NeoPet, and Faerie
all laughing together. Faeries rarely made very good friends with humans
or NeoPets. But Tiya was our friend, and we knew it.
“Puntuli?” boomed a voice much louder than ours (at the
current moment), and much more effective due to our size, too. “Is that
you?”
“Huh?” I asked, and looked up. I stared. I couldn’t believe
it! “Hounder!”
“Yah!” he said. “It’s me! What’s up…with your size, y’know?”
Hounder, my Lupe friend who had been adopted and left
me not too long ago, was on the ship with us! But to answer his question,
I pointed to Tiya. He sighed. Also, he finally seemed to notice I had
an owner.
“You got an owner?” he asked us. “Cool!”
“Yah…but why are you here?” Tiya and Asrman1 sat back
and listened, for they knew it was rude to interrupt a reunion.
“Well, my owner found out I was a Legend Lupe…” he answered.
“You know, the followers of the Faerie Queen, Lupe breed? There’s a special
‘family’ of legend pets for every NeoPet breed…but now I’ve got a hard
life. I hate it like this. I barely get to see my owner.”
“Isn’t he allowed to come with you?” I asked him.
“Nope…we’re off to train and they’re not allowed…what’s
your story?” And so I explained…
***
“…so, can you help…hide us? Make sure we get out of here
unseen?”
“Yeah…” he answered. “Hide in my fur…it’s just so strange
that you’re so tiny!”
“And what’s so bad about that?” Tiya blurted.
“Don’t get her mad,” I said under my breath so that only
Hounder could hear me. Soon enough, the trip had ended, and we bid farewell
to Hounder and left to scurry and hide in some nearby Cloud-Pine bushes.
“And now,” Tiya started. “You have learned your lesson.
I’ll make you bigger…” And with the snap of her wrist and a wave of her
wand, she did. “I’ll remain by your side, for I am your ally, your partner.
The Faerie Queen must not know about this! I will show her that she is
not the best Faerie…and that I can do just as good!”
“I’m with you!” I shouted. “I’m going to show the Mystery
Islanders that I’m not just a common thief!”
“Well…” said Asrman1. “I’ve been alone most of my life,
and I guess I’m ready to prove to everyone who didn’t support me who I
really can be! Plus, isn’t this the greatest opportunity for Puntuli and
I to bond, right? Let’s go!”
“We’re all in!” we all said in unison, and Tiya began
casting a seeking-spell to find the Darkness Faerie’s hideout…
