Are Chias Given Too Much Attention?

by hylio

This is my question to the world of Neopia - are Chias given much more attention than they deserve? If you look at it - Chias are everywhere! Who owns the most important shop - the Food Shop? A Chia! Who is on the mouse-over on the NeoPets front-page sign? A Chia! Who is on the weather page? A Chia!

I realize that Chias were some of the first pets to be created, but that doesn't mean they should be given more attention than others. I realize Chias are easy to draw, but that as well doesn't mean they should be given more attention than others.

Chias have the most paintbrushes of any pet, and they also have something no other pet has - Chia Pops!

Chias can be painted/made:

Apple
Aubergine
Avocado
Christmas
Faerie
Halloween
Mutant
Pear
Pineapple
Plum
Purple
Split
Spotted
Striped
White

This a lot for just one NeoPet to have. Instead of giving the Chia more colors, I think that NeoPets should provide some other pets with few paintbrushes (e.g. Koi, Buzz) with some new, attractive colors.

Chias also have five games, starring and/or featuring them, where some pets have none! The games are:

Chiazilla
Gormball
Chia Bomber
Chia Bingo
Ice Cream Factory

And then there are trading cards. Just how many collectable cards does the Chia have? Let's find out. The list is:

Chapat-Ki
Arborea
Trrygdorr
Disco Dave
Mecha Chiazilla
Chiazilla
Chibin
Tarchie
Tommie
Tomark
Valdrof
Chimi Magi
The Jolly Jugglers
Pittle the Chia
Moondrops the Enchanteress
The Sheriff
Professor William Washpot
Harold Biscuit
Billy the Unwanted
Achila the Hun
Tighia
Shardo
Cherpie

There are 23 cards featuring the Chia species. This is a lot, even though it may seen like only a little. You see so many Chia cards, yet some species have few, none, or only one to feature them. (e.g. Grundo, Koi, Poogle.)

Now, to answer my question from the start - do Chias get too much attention? And the answer is a resounding 'Yes!' I believe that NeoPets should focus on giving more attention to NeoPets with less things to call their own.

I rest my case.
