The New Tyrannian Lupe

Today was Saturday, the day that arokh128's pets got to go shopping, but today would be entirely different....

Today was Saturday. Now, in Neopia, Saturday was the day when I would put aside 1000 Neopoints for my NeoPets, meaning I would spend 250 Neopoints on each one. They really enjoyed today, and especially this today because we would be traveling to Tyrannia to shop. It seemed as if my NeoHome was in total chaos. That's where the tale begins...

"Hey, Mnoronth! get up!" Lithenux yelled as she bounded into Mnoronth's room. Lithenux leapt onto the Eyrie's bed and poked the glowing figure. Lithenux was named after Lithe, which Arokh128 wanted to name her Lupe in the first place, but that name was already used.

Mnoronth was named for Mnementh, the largest Bronze Dragon on Pern, and the mate of one of the best queens, Ramoth. However, since Mnementh was probably taken as a name, arokh128 changed some letters to create a new name, and frankly, she liked it. (Oh yeah, and Mnoronth had also once been a Tatsu in her previous years).

"Hello! Come on! Get up!" Lithenux yelled again, bumping Mnoronth with her nose. Mnoronth turned over in bed.

"But its Saturday........" the Eyrie grumbled.

"That's the whole point!" Lithenux barked.

"Huh?" Mnoronth snorted.

"Mnoronth? Have you lost your mind?! Today we're going to Tyrannia!" Lithenux yelled. Suddenly, Mnoronth's ears perked up.

"We are?" she asked.

"Yeah, and you had better get ready!" Lithenux yelled. She leapt from Mnoronth's bed and ran downstairs to get her mittens, sunglasses, and coat. Even though Tyrannia was hot, Lithenux wanted to wear the Christmas outfit arokh128 had given her.

Once Lithenux got downstairs, she saw Arokh128 brushing Quonth's starry fur. The Zafara was sitting on a small wooden stool, a smile across her face.

Quonth was named after a dragon in arokh128's book series, Reytha's Generation. Quonth is the strongest dragon, so arokh128 picked that name for her new Zafara

"Hey Lithe!" She said, and Lithenux barked as she dragged her coat from the hook.

"Morning Quonth!" Lithenux yipped, and Quonth jumped from the stool as arokh128 put the hairbrush away.

"Where's Mnoronth and Oyroth?" Arokh128 asked, and Lithenux pipped up.

"Mnoronth's getting ready, and lil' Oyroth is probably still snoozing," she explained, and arokh128 walked upstairs to make sure Mnoronth was getting ready, and to wake up the new baby Shoyru, Oyroth. Oyroth was a newborn shadowed Shoyru, whom everybody in arokh128's family adored. Only problem was, the little shadowed Shoyru was hard to spot under the blankets of her crib.

Lithenux dove into a large blue bin and grabbed her mittens and sunglasses. She placed them on top of her coat and sat impatiently, her sinuous tail wagging bad and forth eagerly.

A minute later, Mnoronth came sliding down the stair railing with her leather jacket. She leapt from the railing and skidded to a stop on the wooden floor.

"Where's breakfast?" She asked, and Quonth turned towards Mnoronth.

"Once Oyroth is awake, Arokh128's gonna fix us something," she explained as Mnoronth brushed the Lupe (Lithenux's) fur from her coat.

Arokh128 came downstairs with Oyroth in her hands. The tiny Shoyru could barely be seen, all curled up and asleep. Arokh128 placed a blanket on the counter and wrapped Oyroth in it.

"Mommy? Can you help me into my coat and stuff?" Lithenux whispered, doing her best not to wake Oyroth up.

"Once I get breakfast ready," Arokh128 replied as Lithenux jumped into her chair, Quonth and Mnoronth following. Arokh128 took some blueberry muffins out of the oven and gave each of her pets two. Next, she poured them all a glass of milk. While they were all eating, arokh128 made some muffin mush and placed it in front of Oyroth. Soon, Oyroth woke of and gave a little burp. She began to eat the muffin mush. While Mnoronth watched Oyroth, Arokh128 helped Lithenux get her coat and mittens on, while Lithenux put on the sunglasses.

Arokh128 checked her wallet and made sure that she had everything. Wallet, keys, Neopoints, leash, everything. Next, she wrapped Oyroth up in her blanket, then put her in the cradle on her back. After that she got all of her NeoPets ready, got a few snacks, and they were out the door.

Arokh128 had been lucky enough to have had 10,000 Neopoints to spare. She needed that to rent the helicopter that was going to take her to Tyrannia. This left her with another 10,000 Neopoints, make that 9,000 now, since she was going to spend some on her NeoPets Arokh128 put 10 Neopoints on the counter for the house cleaner, then they walked outside and arokh128 locked the house. She left an extra set of keys under the welcome mat for the cleaner, and they were all set.

Everyone got into the car and closed the doors. Arokh128 buckled in the carrier in the back seat next to Lithenux, and made sure everyone had everything.

"Ready everyone?" she asked, and all her NeoPets responded, "Yes!" Oyroth let out a loud laugh. Arokh128 turned the keys and the car was off to the airport, a family of 5 very excited indeed. They had never been to Tyrannia, little less out of Neopia in the first place. Since going to Faerieland was free, arokh128 had been there repetitively to spin the wheel of excitement, but that's another story.

They arrived at the airport about a half and hour later, and they all unloaded and began to walk towards the helicopter pad, where arokh128 had told the rented helicopter to be with the driver.

They waited a minute or two for a tall man with black hair to walk out of the building and come up to arokh128. A Wocky followed him out.

"Hello, you must be arokh128?" The man asked, shaking arokh128's hand.

"Yes," Arokh128 replied. "And you are?"

"Lion25, advanced helicopter driver and driver to Tyrannia," the man said as he walked towards a large white helicopter. The words "Judicator" were printed on the side. Arokh128 and her pets followed Lion25 inside. Lion25 got into the driver's seat and arokh128 loaded her pets into the very back, where some circular seats faced inward. A small table was in the center.

"Well, this is very nice," Lithenux said.

"The trip will take about 2 hours, maybe a bit longer, so I apologise," Lion25 explained, then added, "There's food and some toys for the pets in that little cabinet above your heads," He finished, and arokh128 opened the cabinet and peered inside.

"Well, this is very nice," Quonth commented, lying down on the nice leather furniture.

"Everyone ready?" Lion25 asked, and arokh128 replied with a loud (Eyes' Lion25 lifted the Judicator from the ground and flew away.

Arokh128 closed the door to the small room and Lithenux leapt up above arokh128. She opened the cabinet and pulled out a yellow Chia toy. She took it back to her seat and placed it in front of her with a smile. Fangs bared, Lithenux began to rip the toy to shreds.

"Lithenux! Stop that!" Arokh128 yelled, and Lithenux put the toy down, her tail in between her legs.

"That's OK ma'am, I get new ones for free," Lion25 yelled from up front, and arokh128 was surprised that he had heard her yell. Lithenux's tail shot up and she began to tear at the Chia toy more. Arokh128 gave everyone a pack of crackers and placed Oyroth on the table, a grape in her little paw. She began to take bites out of it. She flapped her small wings and laughed.

The helicopter flew for about another 2 hours before arokh128, Lithenux, Mnoronth, Quonth, and Oyroth were awakened by a light bump. Arokh128 cleaned up the cabin a bit and she and her family walked outside.

"Thank you, Lion25, I believe I already paid you the 10,000?" Arokh128 asked, and Lion25 nodded, handing her 3,000 Neopoints back from the original pay.

"My pleasure," he replied as he opened the helicopter door. Everyone but Lion25's eyes opened wide. A huge jungle loomed in front of them. Sops lined the small roads, all bunched in one place. Huge Pteris flew above, and all kinds of creatures ran around everywhere.

"Thank you so much Lion25," Arokh128 said as she and her pets walked form the helicopter. Once they were out, Lion25 and his Wocky waved good-bye to the passengers.

"Don't go anywhere before I count the Neopoints," Arokh128 said. "Let's see, 250 for each of you, that's 1,000 right there. Plus another 1,000, that's 500 for each, plus another 1,000, that's 750 Neopoints, plus one more thousand, and that's-" Arokh128 almost finished, and Mnoronth yelled, "1000 Neopoints each!"

"Plus a bonus of another thousands for each of you!" Arokh128 yelled, and her pets leapt in the air in joy.

"Wait, what about Oyroth? Who's gonna buy her stuff?" Litheux asked.

"We'll decide for her," Arokh128 explained.

"Oh, all right, so what do we do first?" Quonth asked.

"Let's walk around and see if we find a shop that we like," Arokh128 said as they began to walk down the long road.

Instantly, the PetPets shop caught Lithenux's eye.

"Let's all pitch in some money to get the family a new PetPet! Simanith's been getting kind of lonely...." Lithenux explained, thinking of the family's Cobrall.

"All right," Arokh128 replied as they walked into the shop.

As soon as they entered, hundreds of sounds filled their ears. Squeaks, growls, squawks, and so much more. A Tyrannian Elephante walked of to them.

"Can I help you?" She asked.

"Yes, what is the best deal here?" Arokh128 asked.

"Funny you should ask that, we have a sale going on now. One pet is 1,000 Neopoints, and you can get 2 for 1,500," the Elephante explained.

"We'll each pay 250, and arokh128 can get the other 500," Mnoronth said, and Oyroth bounced up in down in her carrier as an Airax tickled her wing.

"All right, we'll take that Airax, and what else?" Arokh128 asked

"How about the Searex?" Quonth suggested.

"All right, and we'll also take the Bluna and the Uggatrip," Arokh128 said. The Elephante rung up the prices. They paid and the Elephante gave them the pets, along with a few treats. Grabbing the kennels, arokh128 walked out of the shop with her pets.

"Thank you for visiting!" The Elephante called as they left.

Next they went and bought a large sack of strange food, then decided to go and play some of the games. Quonth and Mnoronth won 165 Neopoints from Chomby and Fungus Balls, and Lithenux got 151 Neopoints from playing Chia bomber. Afterwards they decided to visit the Plateau. It was rather hot, but worth it. First they went to the ticket booth and purchased a ticket to Sticks N Stones, the band that was playing at that time, and the concert was great. They each got a T-shirt as a souvenir. Each NeoPet still had about 1500 Neopoints left, and there was so much to do!

Arokh128 decided to go to the Giant Omelette. As they walked up to large egg surrounded by huge purple cliffs, Arokh128 decided to take off Lithenux's coat and mittens, since it was getting kind of hot. She put them away in her pack, and that's when Lithenux noticed Sabre-X.

He stood atop the highest cliff, monitoring the omelette like an owl to a mouse. He made sure only one person took one slice of the large, eggy mass. As Lithenux gazed up at the mighty Tyrannian Lupe, a cold chill wisped through her. Sabre-X turned his head and his yellow eyes met hers. Lithenux tried to be unnoticed, but Sabre-X could see right through her. However, he smiled at Lithenux, and she gave him a little grin back, her shiny blue body reflecting the bright sun.

Soon they reached the omlette, and arokh128 pulled out a rather large slice of a broccoli omlette, then left. However, Lithenux had some unfinished business to attend to.

"Mom, can I go off and explore?" Lithenux asked.

"Well..." Arokh128 began to think.

"She just wants to see Sabre-X," Mnoronth teased, and Lithenux gave the Eyrie a stern look.

"All right, here's my watch. I'll meet you at the PetPets shop at 12:00 for lunch, k?" Arokh128 said, and Lithenux wrapped the watched around her collar so it hung down just enough for her to see the time.

"All right, see you soon," Arokh128 said as they departed, Mnoronth and Quonth yelling, "Lithenux has a boyfriend! Lithenux has a boyfriend! Lithenux has a boyfriend!" But Lithenux didn't really care. She bolted off towards Sabre-X's cliff, where she wanted to see him up close. She could have sworn he had looked at her in a weird way.

As Lithenux approached Sabre-X's huge body, her legs began to feel like jelly. She made a little scratch on the ground and Sabre-X turned to her, his massive horns almost like daggers, waiting to rip her apart. Lithenux only gulped. However, Sabre-X smiled.

"Hello there," He said in a low voice. Lithenux gathered up her courage and said, "Hello grand Sabre-X," Sabre-X laughed.

"No one has ever called me that before," he said, and Lithenux blushed, backing down.

"Please don't do that, what is your name?" Sabre-X asked, and Lithenux answered, "My name is Lithenux."

"That's a pretty name," Sabre-X replied, then turned his head towards a large Tyrannian Grarrl.

"Grarrg! Watch the omlette for me!" Sabre-X yelled, and he turned walked towards Lithenux as the Grarrl came running over to Sabre-X's cliff.

"Lithenux, would you like a tour of Tyrannia?" Sabre-X asked, and Lithenux nodded. Sabre-X lead her away, and Lithenux then knew that she wished she didn't believe in love at first sight.

Meanwhile the other part of the family was shopping like mad. They had finished buying stuff in the Plateau and Jungle, so they went to the fire weaponry shop in the volcano and bought tons of stuff. Then they bought even more, and more. Finally, they started to make their way towards the PetPets shop to meet Lithenux. However, when they got there, all they found was a note.

It is with a saddened heart that I have to leave you. Not forever, I will return for sure. I have found someone who frankly cannot live without me, and I hope you can understand. I will visit you sometime in the future.

Arokh128 picked up the note and wiped a tear from her eye. She read the note to her pets, who suddenly were in sad thoughts. They had a small lunch, then got back into the Judicator (which had flown back to get them) and flew away. As they peered out the window, they saw a blue Lupe with large tusks standing next to Sabre-X, and they knew that Lithenux had found her home.

Epilogue: Later Oyroth had entered the Battledome with her fire weaponry, and her opponent seemed very familiar. It was a large dark blue Lupe It had huge tusks and slit pupils. A bite was taken out of its ear, and it was armed with tons of weaponry. Strangely, its name was Lithe-X....
