Beach Warf

by Valekssister

Palidona grumbled when the phone woke her up. She got up to answer it. Her friend Taramore the Acara was calling her to come over and play. "I’ll ask Nupheto if she would like to come over then I will phone you back later,” Palidona said.

As Palidona went to Nupheto’s room she stretched her Uni wings. "Nupheto, wake up! Taramore wants us to come and play. ”

I just want a bit of more sleep,” mumbled Nupheto. “Besides I wanted to go to the beach for a swim today. ”

“Good idea!” said Palidona. She ran back the phone to tell Taramore about going to the beach. But Taramore did not want to go because she did not like getting sand in her fur. "Then we can come over later or another day,”said Palidona.

Palidona was setting the table for breakfast when her Peophin sister came down the stairs. ”I love your idea about going to the beach,”said Palidona. “But Taramore doesn’t like getting sand in her fur. ”

After the Uni and the Peophin ate their breakfast, they told Valekssister that they were going to the beach. "Have fun,” their owner said. "Maybe I’ll stop by later. ”

Palidona and nupheto walked to the beach. Palidona chattered about her flying lessons. "Too bad you don’t have wings,” she said to her sister.

Nupheto just humphed. “I’m glad I don’t have wings because I’m a better swimmer. ”

Soon they reached the beach....

When they got to the entrance of the beach there was a huge Spyder web in their way. “I don’t think we should break that web,” Nupheto suggested. "It might be a Spyder’s web and they get really mad if you break their homes.”

“Then how do we get to the beach?” asked Palidona.

Nupheto looked at Palidona’s wings. “You can fly over the web,” said Nupheto.

Palidona looked at Nupheto. “Yeah! And you can jump over the web”

So they did. They got over the web with no problem. “Yay! We did it!”

Palidona made sand castles while Nupheto had a good swim. Near the beach was a forest. They heard a sound coming from the forest. Palidona said, "Let’s go see what that is!”

“There might be a monster in there so we have to be careful and be brave,” said Nupheto.

So they went into the forest. They heard whimpering so they followed what was making the sound. When they reached that spot they saw a little Warf with a ring around his eye.

“He is so cute!” said Palidona. "I wonder what is wrong with him, thought?”

“Be careful. He might bite!” said Nupheto.

Palidona got closer and closer to the little Warf. She said, "There is a big thorn in his paw. We have to go home and tell Valekssister that we need her help.” Nupheto suggested they carry the little Warf home instead of bringing Valekssister there.

“We should put a picture of him in the newspaper,” said Valekssister. “And make signs for putting up in the neighbourhood."

One week later there was still no one asking about the little Warf so Valekssister took Nupheto and Palidona to the pound to adopt the Warf as their pet. When they came back home Nupheto asked, “Can we name him Weasley?”

“Sure. That sounds like an interesting name,” said Valekssister. Palidona agreed.

Weasley the Warf liked his new home and his new family. And he liked going to the beach with Nupheto and Palidona. It was all good.
