Rhiannon Yesterday live with NNT (National Neopian Television)
at the AstroVilla Though we had planned to meet with the respectable Space
Faerie, apparently, other duties needed to be taken care of. Despite this
little difficulty, we have Iliythiana, a native born AstroVillian and
also one of our traveling reporters, who will give us a deeper look into
the life of an average AstroVillian.
Our houses are dome-shaped, made out of strong and stable
metals taken from a distant and bare planet not too far from here.. and
connected like a DNA molecule. Very futuristic, eh? You cannot really
tell them apart, but since it is a small villa, you recite your User Name
(which is not always necessarily your real name, for example, my User
Name is Pixel) and Password (for example, my password is--just kidding)
and which ever door opens for you is the doorway for your home. This is
why no AstroVillians have the same names or User Names.
Inside, circular lights seemingly embedded into the ceiling
light all the rooms. To turn one off, you press it lightly. We also have
the voice-activated ones and mirror window panes which let light enter
the room without allowing outsiders to see inside. Little ones gaze at
the innumerable shooting stars, passing comets, meteorites, and asteroids
and also at the flourishing world of Neopia below. Heat radiates from
the dome walls during the cold months and air vents cool us down during
the warmer months. Our furniture is pretty much identical--made of any
metal chosen by the family and our houses aren't very cluttered. Most
of the time we are Logged In to a Virtual Reality Experience (VRE). Yes,
our homes are pretty bland (to us--Neopians seem terribly fascinated by
them) but the VRE more than makes up for that. To exit our homes, we press
the little X that is located in a corner of each room.
A more interesting topic is the Museum of Mmkabuytzeelae
-- a museum of many interesting things. Beautiful exhibitions, original
AstroVillian artwork and writings, and biographies of famous people, such
as Pierj'd, who created the company Bambreean Butter (which is the best
butter taken from the core of one of Neopia's moons).
We also have the Academy of Qwark. It is the only academy
here that teaches an AstroVillian how to play the Qwark: a small circular
shaped instrument with many holes and a small stick with which you block
the holes to make different sounds. To play, your hands must be very swift
and nimble.
An interesting natural wonder of the AstroVilla is the
waterfall found near Toiquet--it is a looming cascade of.. quicksilver.
Of course we've entertainment centers like the Shooting
Star Lounge, an antigravity dance club. And Space Latte, the coolest cafe
with Space Slushies, sweet and steaming Astrocinnos, freshly baked Meteorolls,
and my favourite--Chocogalaxy shakes.
This is a but a brief overview of AstroVilla But do come
and visit us sometime!
Thank you Iliythiana. This is Rhiannon Yesterday, signing
off.
