I’m sure that by now, everyone knows what a PetPet is,
if not: a PetPet is a pet that you give your NeoPets! They bring up your
pet's happiness level, and they can help you when you are fighting a battle
in the Battledome (just don’t rely them all the time)! But which ones
should you get? What one would be best suited for your pet? How much will
it cost to buy one? Will you like it? Will your pet like it? There are
so many questions you have to answer before buying a PetPet, which is
why I came up with this guide, to help you pick out the right PetPet for
your pet.
You are probably thinking: it can’t be THAT hard to buy
a PetPet! But it is! You see, if you’re a newbie to Neopia, you don’t
realise that some NeoPets will like some pet’s pet, while other NeoPets
DON’T. Here is an example: My brother bought a Cyclopian, for just under
7,000 Neopoints, and he gave it to me. I at the time only had an Acara,
so I gave the pet to her. Unfortunately, zomzo (my Acara) didn’t like
it, so she wouldn’t have it! So, I gave it back to my brother, __luke__,
and he gave it to his Gelert, and he took it gratefully! The softer, cuter
PetPets go to the softer, cuter pets, while the hard, tough PetPets (like
the Cyclopian), go to the tough looking, strong pets!
You see, buying a PetPet really is complex! Which is
why you should read this guide before you purchase your own NeoPet a pet
of its own!
WORLD PETS
The worlds Maraqua, Faerieland, Space Station, Haunted Woods, Tyrannia
and Neopia itself all have their very own breeds of PetPets. For Maraqua
there are pets like Pokey, Legs, Sharky and Swirly. For Faerieland there
are pets like Floud, Cirrus, Meekins and Miamouse! For Space Station there
are pets like Wheelie, Diddler, Screw Top and Pincheron. For Haunted Woods
there are pets like Cyclopian, Fat Cat, Bloop and Sugar Rush. For Tyrannia
there are pets like Airax, Gruslen, Pet Rock and Stego. For Neopia main
there are pets like Beekadoodle, Greeble, Warf and Mallard. There are
hundreds of different species of PetPets to be found, I have only listed
four different ones from each world you can get them from!
WHICH PET FOR WHICH PET?
I don’t know exactly what pets NeoPets don’t or do like, but I do know
that you’re more likely to find a Kiko will accept a Floud, whereas a
Jetsam would prefer a Sugar Rush! I’ve found that PetPets from Faerieland,
Tyrannia and sometimes from Maraqua work better with the soft pets like
Kiko, Acara and Wocky. Pets from Space Station and Haunted Woods would
be best suited for Jetsams, Buzz and Grarrl. I have also noticed that
PetPets from Neopia will work with almost any NeoPet. So, if you want
to buy one, go to Neopia first!
WHOA! LOOK AT THOSE PRICES!
I hate to break it to you, but PetPets DON’T come cheap. I think the
cheapest one that I have ever found was Floud, and even then that was
about 4000 Neopoints. So I suggest that you don’t buy a PetPet unless
you have enough money, that way you won’t be breaking the bank. BUT, if
you do badly want a little pet for your pet, then try the Auction House.
I managed to get myself a Pet Rock for ONLY 300 Neopoints, when they are
really worth about 6000 Neopoints! Lucky me, ay?
GENERAL PETPET INFO
With a PetPet, you don’t have to feed it at all. I don’t know if your
NeoPet does, but you don’t! You can name them anything that you like,
unlike when you were naming your NeoPets, these don’t have to be 100%
unique names! When you take them away from your NeoPet’s or give them
to your NeoPet, they come with the name “no name”, you can keep it like
that, but it’s not very creative! They grow old as well, by hours and
then gradually by days, but when you take them away from your NeoPets,
there age goes back down to 0 (even when you give them another pet)! Each
PetPet has a unique was of talking to your pet, you don’t actually hear
them, but they do things like grunt, bob up and down and stick out their
tongue! They are not being rude, that’s just the way they talk!
DO I HAVE ANY PETPETS?
Yes, all three of my pets do! My Acara, after rejecting the Cyclopian,
ended up getting a Greeble, and it loves it very much! My Wocky, ended
up with it’s very own Pet Rock, and my Jubjub got itself an Uggatrip!
I hope that this guide has answered any questions that you may have had
about PetPets, and happy choosing!
