Being one of the most expensive and sought for books
on the market, Faerie Books Inc. was quite eager to have me translate
the Faerie series. It took me quite awhile to translate the ancient script
and collect information on the fiery tempered Faerie. With the aid of
Brimstone_37 I was able to successfully translate this book for your enjoyment.
I hope you enjoy this book for years to come.
Chapter 1: Where they live
The Uber Fire Faerie mostly keeps to herself, preferring to be alone.
Being hot tempered and impatient she is not well liked by most. She lives
by herself, though her home is a secret. She generally loves to stay for
short amounts of time in volcanoes, near hot springs or lava flows. The
small Fire Faeries are found all over Neopia, though they are quite rare.
You would have a better chance of finding one near heat sources.
Chapter 2: The likes and dislikes of a Fire Faerie
Fire Faeries are very particular and hard to please. Being quite picky
of nature, they tend to want to be disagreeable towards others. They dearly
love Scorchios and other fiery pets. A pet painted fire is said to be
under the protection of the Uber Fire Faerie and in her favor (which is
a good thing to have when your dealing with this fiery miss)! She is very
fond of hot and spicy foods. She dearly loves all types of Burnumups,
but especially loves the Flaming burnumup, her personal favourite. She
is also very fond of clothes. With her hot temper, she tends to accidentally
burn or singe her clothes. She is continuously sending pets out on quests
for items of clothing, since she needs a complete new wardrobe almost
every week! She likes anything hot, spicy and pretty. Her favourite color
is red. She likes bold, courageous pets glowing strong with inner fire.
She favors battledome fighters for their courage and loves to watch Battledome
matches.
Chapter 3: Character
The Uber Fire Faerie has a temper to match her appearance, fiery! She
has a hot temper the color of her hair. Being of such a violent temper,
even the other Faeries stay away from her when she is in one of her fiery
rages. Tends to get very aggravated towards others who tell her what to
do or who do not do what she has asked. She is very stubborn and set on
her ways. Once she puts her mind to something, it is impossible to change
her mind or, in some cases, make her see reason. Being very strong headed
and stubborn she tends to be a bit rash in her decisions. The other Faeries
are always reminding her not to rush into things but of course she very
rarely listens. You do not want to get on her bad side at all costs. When
angered she can cause much havoc and destruction making you curse the
day you met her.
Being of such a picky nature she very dislikes giving
out quests to pets, but will on occasion come down from her home to send
a pet on a quest. Of course, there is nothing more infuriating for her
than to see an owner or pet fail her. Beware her wrath if you fail her
quests! Although the Fire Faerie has many faults, she is a fierce believer
in the pets who contain the fierce fire of determination, perseverance
and courage. Though she would hate to admit it, the Fire Faerie has a
soft spot for those who suffer and has appeared to brave pets in great
need from time to time.
Just like their bigger version, the small Fire Faeries
found around the world are stubborn and hot tempered too. They sometimes
refuse to bless a pet once released from their jar and will fly away without
so much as a thanks, leaving many a confused owner and pet behind.
Chapter 4: History
Fire Faeries have a long history in the Neopian story. Long, long ago
when the Uber Faeries first came to Neopia some pets worshiped her as
a Goddess. Scorchios colonies were among the first pets to make early
tributes to her and worship her. Many ceremonies were held for this Faerie
and she is found in many of the old Scorchio legends. They admired her
great fire powers and worked very hard to please her. It was said that
any Scorchio who caught a Fire Faerie would be blessed by the Uber Fire
Faerie and granted immortality in the next world. Of course this is only
a legend though some still believe that when they no longer exist, the
Uber Fire Faerie will bring them up to the fiery heavens were they shall
live contented. It is still said today that she has a special spot in
her heart for all Scorchios.
She was also known by some early pet colonies and packs
as the goddess of war. Some southern Lupe packs, such as the Cerions were
famous for painting marks made from red dyes on their faces in her honour,
when preparing to go to war. When the fire was lit it was said to be a
gift from the Fire Faerie by most early colonies. Prairie fires as well
as volcano eruptions were said to be caused by the Fire Faerie when angry.
Chapter 5: Flying skills
The Fire Faerie is a brilliant flyer. Fast and agile, she can dodge almost
any attack (of course she has not been know to do so since she considers
it an insult to retreat from the enemy and prefers to stand her ground
and hit back). She is known to be one of the fastest Faeries and likes
to keep up that idea. She is one of the main causes of prairie fires today,
due to her high velocity close to the ground, causing the grass to catch
on flame. She is also famous for her various sky attacks. Some examples
of these are the Fiery arrow dive and the burning ball of death spin.
The Fiery arrow dive is both frightening and beautiful
to watch. The Fire Faerie spreads out her arms pointing them a few degrees
towards her hips. She then takes off from a very high altitude and proceeds
to descend in a diagonal line towards her enemy. Gathering speed the whole
way down, she gives the impression of a burning arrow headed for her target,
which she never misses.
The Burning ball of destruction spin is also quite frightening.
Starting very high in the air, she spins around slowly at first, gathering
speed. Her spins get faster and faster till she becomes no more than a
red blur, as if her enemy was not confused already (which he usually is)
she starts down towards earth spinning all the while. Looking like a ball
of fire or meteorite, she heads down towards her enemy at surprising speeds.
It's a head on collision from there and any creature that can stand such
a blow is not from this planet. The blow has enough force to literally
blow an opponent to bits and even cause a minor earthquake. Not surprising
that many enemies do not mess with the Fire Faerie with those powerful
moves to protect her.
Chapter 6: Inventions in her honour
Like all Faeries, many things have been created in her honour. It is said
that it is she who gave the strange inventor the idea for his fire potion
though we are not to sure how well the results of his invention is. She
is also the creator of the Fire paint brush, in a recent interview, we
asked her why she had decided to make this paint brush her reply had been
that since all the other Faeries had created their own paint brushes why
shouldn't she? With a toss of her head she mentioned before leaving, "
besides we need more fiery pets in Neopia" and slammed the door on my
face.
I think most of us have experienced, the uhhh... exquisite
taste of the Tyrannian burnumup. One bite of the burnumup will no longer
have you guessing why it is called so. Kind of reminds you of " burn 'em
up!" don't it. Well that's because Tyrannia is also fond of the Fire Faerie
and as a token of their appreciation for her help in reactivating a sleeping
volcano, the natives invented the burnumup. Flaming, mild or green, it
is sure to make anyone run for a big glass of water. I personally have
seen some of the effects that have occurred when a person does not drown
the morsel with water. The eater becomes a danger to those around him,
as he will frequently open his mouth letting loose a huge flame. I quite
nearly lost my head but ducked down in time to luckily only receive a
few burned hairs. The eater is usually rushed to a hospital after the
effects have worn out to be treated for 2nd and 3rd degree burns in the
mouth.
