The Wizard shook off his reverie and continued with a soft chuckle "This is the tale of Snow Uni, and the Seven Skeiths."

Emorali grinned a bit at hearing there were going to be Skeiths in this tale.

"In the golden palace of the Uni Nation that had once flourished here on Neopia, there dwelt a king named Mycros who was very much in love with his beautiful wife, Phially. When after many years of blissful marriage, Queen Phially was expecting a colt, the entire Uni nation rejoiced!"

Here the Wizard crafted an illusion of King Mycros and Queen Phially prancing through a spring meadow, with the sounds of a cheering crowd heard in the distance. Both girls sighed dreamily, and even Shidi looked a bit misty-eyed. Grylf wrinked his snout in an effort to look tough, just in case anyone wanted to accuse him of thinking it was sweet.

"Spring soon passed into fall, and fall, to winter. The snow fell in great drifts around the castle, and Queen Phially remarked about the ethereal quality of the ice and snow covered castle. The King and Queen decided to name their child (which the Queen was quite rightfully convinced would be a girl) Snowflake in honor of the season."

Gaelin wondered what it would have been like to be a great Uni king as the Wizard shifted the illusion to show the King and Queen looking out at the white-blanketed countryside. He almost missed the next part of the tale to contemplation, but listened just in time to catch the Wizard's next words.

"Alas, the winter can be as deadly as it is beautiful, and in the cold dark night, when one life began, another was ended. Snowflake was born, and shortly after, Queen Phially passed with a sad smile on her muzzle, after nuzzling her downy white newborn one tender time."
