What Happened to Dr. Sloth?

I have heard that question at least five or six times this past week. "Whatever happened to Dr. Sloth?" One minute he's handing out Transmorification Potions, the next minute he disappears. Well, I have more to add to it, and please spread it around....that is if you like it!

It all started last Wednesday, around 1:00 PM. Me and my NeoPet, Drade, had just came out of a win in the Battledome, and we fell asleep beside the Ice Arena. When I awoke, my NeoPet was shivering madly, and looked tired and very weak.

So I did what any good NeoPet owner would do, I took him to the Healing Springs in Faerieland. I had to carry him, he was so pooped. Anyway, I got to Faerieland, quickly scanned the Employment Agency for any upgrades, and headed towards the Healing Springs.

But weirdly enough, this is the first time I have seen the cloud below. It was dark gray and I could see rain below, almost flooding Mystery Island. It was like those shows on NTV where it hasn't snowed or rained for seven months now, and suddenly, it is flooding your entire country.

Frightened, but still determined to help my pet, I stepped inside. Everything was the same, the counter on the left, the bulletin board on the right, but the plant beside the entrance was dead and brown. Not that it concerned me at the time. I rang the bell for service. Abruptly, a large dark shadowy figure was in front of the desk. I couldn't make out the face, so I presumed the Water Faerie had gained a couple hundred pounds. I told her...or him...or something...the symptoms of my beloved drade.

The xfmndfg (as I now call it) gave me a potion. But I knew I had seen that potion before...The Transmorification Potion, the one that turns NeoPets to brain-eating monsters. I had heard about it from Kauvara about a month ago. If you look closely in the background of Kauvara's interview, you can barely see Kikipou, another great friend. I was cut off behind her.

Drade seemed to be dazed, eyeing the potion with wonder and awe. I strutted out of the building, hearing an evil chuckle from behind the desk. I didn't let Drade have it, but I did bring it to the Faerie Queen to inform her about what the xfmndfg had been doing, and how it might be the water Faerie or Dr. Sloth. She said she was looking in to the situation, as she took her Rod of Supernova out of its case in the Hidden Tower. I wasn't sure what would happen next...but I thought I saw her dialing a telephone number. I thought it was the Space Faerie's, or was it? I don't know.
