The Battledome Quest: Part Three

....A women. Jenkins' jaw dropped as he stared at a beautiful white Lupe standing in a dark green towel with her hand on the knob. "Hello? Oh hi. Are you going to be my room mate?" The women's voice echoed in Jekins' ear.

"Yes. Yes I will," he said quickly.

"Great! The Captain sent me a notice just a few seconds ago. He sent a bed down and everything you need. Feel right at home."

She walked backwards letting Jekins in and nodded towards a spare bed made up of purplish-blue sheets about the same colour of Jekins' fur. "Okay. Um, so what time do we get food? I'm extremely hungry." Jekins' felt awkward talking to Fleur.

"Food? You mean dinner? Dinner will be here in a few minutes. By the way, where are you heading? I'm going to Mystery Island so I can ask the Island Mystic some questions." Fleur looked down at her towel and blushed.

"I am getting some Neopoints that my owner Cora left in Mystery Island. She told me if I ever get lost I can go here and claim it. I embarrassed her and I felt ashamed so I left. She doesn't miss me. She's probably happy I'm gone." Jekins whimpered and laid down on his bed.

"No, I think she's probably really sad. I know my owner was. My owner, Wilma00 thought the world of me, but then along came Tenderoni. She saw my beautiful white fur and had to have me. She offered Wilma00 10 thousand Neopoints and Wilma00 could not resist it. She had 3 other NeoPets to feed and look after. I was the youngest. She had just grown attached to me, but gave me away without a second glance. I feel great knowing that because of me my sisters and brother are having a good life, but I want Wilma00 back. Tenderoni just sold me to another person for 20 thousand Neopoints who abandoned me after making some money on me. I live by myself and have been searching for a place to live and friends. I do quests for the Kitchen Cook." Fleur sadly walked into the bathroom where she changed and came back out looking stunning as usual, with her white fur gleaming.

"Oh, the door. Must be dinner. I'll get it. Hope it's good." Jekins got up to answer the door and took the food the cook was offering. He and Fleur had a great conversation and were stuffed as food just kept appearing on their plates. They decided to go to bed, unaware of the time agreeing that they both had a long day ahead of them.

"Yawn. Groan, grunt ouch!! Thud!!!" Jekins woke up that morning to the sound of crashing waves and fell off the bed while stretching.

"What's the matter? Oh, the waves scare you?" Fleur rolled out of bed and went over to the door. She opened it and returned 2 minutes later holding a tray of fruit, hot cakes, Neo Crunch Cereal and buttered toast.

Jekins sat up and stared at it as she set it down on the floor and started lapping the cereal and orange juice she took up with her tongue. "Yum, I love peaches and milk. Hot Cakes? Fleur, you're the best!" Jekins bounded over Fleur's bed and landed right in front of the tray. He pushed some hot cakes towards him with his nose. He polished them off in 3 bites. Jekins pushed an assortment of different things in front of him including peaches, a bowl of milk, a green apple, a blue donut, a piece of snow cake, two giant bowls full of hot soup (while Fleur looked puzzled thinking 'How could anyone eat soup for breakfast') and a plate of fish Neggs.

"Well, that was good," Jekins said as he stared at what he had eaten, and then looked at what Fleur had eaten. Two bottles of water, a bowl of Neo Crunch Cereal, and a red apple.

"Well I better get ready. It's 8:58 and the ship docks at 9:00. Do you know where my short red hairbrush has gone? Oh there it is." Fleur saw it sitting on the ground and started brushing herself until she was stunning. She applied some gold eyeshadow and gold lipstick. Then she picked up her bags and searched around for anything else she had left behind. Of course Jekins had not brought anything except his bank card and his lightning gun. He picked them up and waited by the door till he heard the whistle blow.

"WOW! You have a lightning gun? Have you been in the battle dome? I'm just doing one more quest so I have at least 1000 Neopoints. Then I can buy some equipment and go there!" Fleur dashed over to Jekins and held his lighting gun in her arms. She gave it back to Jekins and lifted one ear.

"What do you hear?" Jekins did the same as Fleur but didn't hear anything.

"Toot toot! Please take your luggage and personal belongings to the front of the ship one floor at a time. The bottom floor first please," the Captain's voice boomed over the P.A. system. A man came to Fleur and Jekins' door. He picked up their luggage, put it on a cart and hauled it up the stairs and to the front of the ship.

"Well, I guess this is good-bye. It was fun, being your roommate. See ya."

Fleur started to walk away but Jekins stopped her. "What do you say you come with me? I need a friend to help me. How about it??" Jekins had an anxious look on his face.

"Yes! Of course! I'll come." Fleur followed Jekins out of the door and they walked toward the Mystery Island marketplace where he could claim his Neopoints.
