The Beginning
Hi! My name is Cutie Pie. You can call me CP. I'm a Shoyru--the best
breed of NeoPets you can purchase! I've been on many adventures and the
first one I'm going to tell you about is how I met my owner, daisy.
I was abandoned by my first owner, Miles. He didn't seem to love me much
because he had an Aisha he loved more. I was extremely jealous. He always
took her on walks and I stayed home and cooked dinner. The Aisha didn't
like me either. In fact, she despised me, and she loved to taunt me when
she stepped out the door.
One day Miles said that he and Aisha were going on a walk and he wanted
me to come along. I was so happy! I almost dropped a plate I was washing
on the floor! Then as I turned around, I saw it. The look that Aisha had.
I knew something bad was going to happen. But I couldn't imagine anything
bad that could happen while I was with my owner, so I went along.
We started walking then we got to the pound and miles stopped walking.
I looked up at miles and asked him why we were here. He said it was nothing.
He scooped my up and handed me to an evil looking Techo. He was yellow
with creepy grey hair. His hands were scaly and rough, and he scooped
me up carelessly, and shoved me into a cold metal cage. Miles and the
Aisha started walking away. I glanced sadly at the pair, for now I understood
what was going on. The Aisha stuck her tongue out at me, and sauntered
after Miles.
One day I was sitting in a corner of my hard-floored cell when a blue
Usul hopped over to me. She wore a look that I categorized as pity, yet
it was hard to tell, as she also bore the prejudice look that all Usuls
tend to have. I saw how shiny her coat was, and how crisp her bright red
bow was atop her head, and I immediately knew she belonged to one of the
visiting Neopians.
I cried silently, thick, honey tears that stuck to my skin. Why couldn't
I have a shiny coat and a full belly? The Usul hopped away. About five
minutes later a girl, about 14 walked in, looking confused. Her hand was
tightly clutching the Usuls furry paw. The Usul pointed at my cage, and
my heart skipped a beat. It peered at me through glossy wet tears. She
unlatched the cage, and took me in her arms. Before I knew it, she was
carrying me out of the pound, and I saw the Usul wink at me from behind
a girl.
Someone loves me! Someone cares about me! I thought, as we walked
through Neopia. As we ambled past the Neopian post office, the girl whispered
in my ear, "I promise you'll never return to that horrid place again."
And I never did.
To be continued...
