The Biggest Battle of Neopia: Part One

One fine sunny Neopian day, someone named Edwin challenged the Battle Faerie. His status was unknown to all but himself. The Battle Faerie gladly accepted the challenge and they went to the Neopian Battledome to fight it all out.

Legend has it that there was a magical staff called the Staff of Battle Faerie. It could conjure up any Battledome moves and items any time at the Battle Faerie's wish. That particular day, Edwin was about to witness the power of the Staff of Battle Faerie.

The Battle Faerie and Edwin were about to battle. Battle Faerie smiled mysteriously and allowed Edwin to go first. He used Black Frost Cannon against the Battle Faerie. She just waved and the Black Frost cannon veered back at Edwin. She held up her hand, a staff of yellow color appeared in her hands. She commanded in a loud voice, "The Staff Of Battle Faerie!"

Suddenly, a Wand of Nova appeared in her hands. She pointed it at Edwin. A blast of yellow came out of the wand and rushed towards Edwin. Since the Wand of Nova is a one-used item, it broke immediately after use. Edwin scoffed at the ball of power aiming at him. The power hit him and his face just showed a teeny weenie bit of grimace, and then returned to its expressionless state.

Battle Faerie's face showed a shock of surprised. "How? How could he not feel pain? The Nova blast is so powerful it can minus off 1000 HP off a pet! How could he withstand the pain?" the Battle Faerie wondered. Edwin's face flashed a flicker of amusement and suddenly, in the palms of his hands, appeared the Nova blast the Battle Faerie had sent. "Oh My God! He sucked the Nova blast!" the Battle Faerie exclaimed in her mind. Edwin sent the blast directly towards Battle Faerie. The Battle Faerie had no time to dodge and was hit by the blast. She staggered backwards and kneeled down in pain. The staff in her hands dropped and skidded to where Edwin was.

Edwin looked down at the staff, suddenly feeling very delighted. He took the staff and aimed it at the Battle Faerie. The staff shot up cement and it enveloped around the Battle Faerie. She was turned into stone! Edwin held up the staff and boomed, "Let the Battle Faerie rest for a hundred years. I will put all my powers in this staff! No one can take it from me!" With that, he disappeared to his secret abode.

The body of the Battle Faerie was only found when her daughter, Befvara, found her in the Battledome. Soon all of Neopia was known to this shocking news (through the powerful Neopia grapevine). Battle Faerie's body was placed in the Battledome Hall Of Fame, where she will lie for the next hundred years.

Neopia was in a panic; no Faerie had lost before, especially the Battle Faerie. Fear began to envelope Neopia, for they didn't know what Edwin was going to do next.
