The Strange Disease

Everything was perfect for me...until the day one of my special friends...Lil_mistletoe, got this weird disease, she neomailed me about it saying that she sometimes feels cold and then suddenly feels hot. She also said about trees sometimes waving at her. That made me worry about her.

The day after, she started forgetting about special times like the time when we went to the Theme Park together. That afternoon, the Soup Faerie came to my house and told mom and me to go to the Mystery Isle, and ask the Island Mystic to send us to the Faerie Queen. "I can't send you because the last time I visited the queen, I accidentally dropped the teleporter somewhere in her kingdom. So now I just teleport there myself but I can't teleport others."

When she left, mom and I headed for the shops to get ready for our journey. After shopping for 15 minutes, we hurried to mistletoe_angel (lil_mistletoe's mom) and told her the news. Then we set on our long journey. We rented a boat about the size of a normal Neopian car. It was blue and had a motor in its back, so when we pulled a cord, it started moving the boat.

Somewhere near 2:00 in the morning, something kept bumping the bottom of our boat really hard. Mom was already awake. "The bumping is from Jetsams," she told me quickly. "They're either trying to capsize our boat or to break it." I was sure mom wouldn't be able to stop them, so I flew into the sky and started to hit the Jetsams with my Psychic blast. Somehow...when I tried attacking the largest one...he used shroud and became invisible. He really almost beat me up at that time. But somewhere in my mind, I thought of the idea to throw some paint from the painting set I brought to play with at him. So I saw a huge blob of paint somewhere and that was my aim. I quickly did Restore on myself and started using my Psychic Blasts on him again.

I finally managed to hit him really hard near the tail. I think he was the Jetsams' leader. Because when the other Jetsams saw how I much I damaged him, they quickly swam away without taking him with them.

The Island Forest

When we finally reached the Mystery Island, it was morning. We went searching for the Island Mystic. But it seemed that no one answered our questions. They just stared at us and said "He's on an island!" We just couldn't find out which...out of three islands. Somehow, we wandered into the Island Forest and became hopelessly lost. "Mom," I whispered in a frightened tone.

She answered "What's the matter?" I told her what was bugging me.

"Well...I WILL admit that we're lost...but hey! I'm sure we can find some Kougras to show the way outta this forest," she smiled.

I wasn't doubtful...because mommy DOESN'T tell lies. We took a long hour walking, saw a lot of Scabus and Juicy Watermelons hanging from fruit trees. But I didn't feel hungry. I just wanted to stop staying lost. Luckily, after a whole three hours walking, we found a Kougra sitting near a cave, looking bored. Mommy and I approached and asked, "Excuse me, but do you know the way out of here?"

The Kougra looked at us, smiled and said, "Sure I do! It'll take a long time though, so I'll guide you."

Relieved that this Kougra was a nice one, we followed her. Along the way, we met some coconut people, they gave us some Muntando fruit, and we also met more Kougras. An hour after, mom and I were very tired from walking. But we reached to the end of the forest at last. "Bye! And THANKS for offering to help!" mom thanked the Kougra and gave some Streaky Bacon to her. We found a kind lady and found out that the Island Mystic was on the smallest island.

The Island Mystic

When we found the Island Mystic, he just nodded wisely and said, "Ah...I see have you here a problem...eh?"

We simply told him the problem and he transported us to the Faerie Queen. She said, "The Soup Faerie told me you would be coming to get this for your friend...so here it is...hope your friend is all right!!"

She gave us a bottle of potion (so the kind Soup Faerie actually was telling us to get the medicine for Lil_mistletoe!! The Faerie Queen then pointed a finger at us and sent us back to Neopia. I happily ran to Lil_mistletoe's house and left mom to do her work. I gave Lil_mistletoe's mom the bottled potion. Days after...Lil_mistletoe was cured.
