Is Being Poor Actually Your Fault?

by pokedoughey

I've seen a lot of "rich" people selling things like seafood for very expensive prices. Actually, most of them are people on the right track. They're trying to earn more NP and with seafood and space food is probably the best way. I have a friend and he buys seafood like Frozen Fish Gel from the Koi Food Shop and sells them for over 1000 NP, but for the cheapest price on the Shop Wizard. You might consider him rich. Think again, with only 20,000 NP in his pocket, he's still got more to go but he's working on it. So before you judge people of their greed, think about it. They might actually be poor Neopians on the right track.

So what does this have to do with the poor Neopians? Well, some are on the wrong track. The decision of which track you choose is usually at the beginning of when you started NeoPets. You see WOW 500 NP!!!! And most of the time, their first move leads them to being poor. And their first move would usually be go and buy items till they're down to 1 NP. And then soon they find out that seafood and stuff are like 1000 NP and they just wish they kept their 500 NP. I suggest to you Newbies that before you buy anything with your 500 NP, start a shop then buy items like seafood for under 300 NP and sell them for over 1000 NP!!!! (Except Yolk Beans, don't buy those).

But for you poor people who have none at all, play games till you get enough money then buy, and sell. Oftentimes, I see people making the wrong mistakes. These mistakes are pricing your items way too high. No one will buy your items if it's too high. But if you want to sell that item quick and make profit, sell it for 10-20 NP less than the lowest price so far on the Shop Wizard. That way, not only are you making profit but encouraging others to lower their prices too. People will try to beat each other's prices each time, thus making the prices on the Shop Wizard lower.

Another mistake I noticed from the poor is that they complain about the high prices. That just leads you to nowhere. You should know that the rich or people right on track won't listen to you because they're busy making money. So if you can't beat them, why not join them? Start playing games and then buy items from the shops and sell them for profit. But try to sell them for the lowest on the Shop Wizard.

Some people have slow Internet connections so you might as well start small. Buy things from the food shop such as Bitten Red Apple for 1-3 NP and sell it for 10-20 NP. It may be not much profit but it's better than nothing. Bitten Red Apples don't sell that quick and it'll be at least 5 minutes before they're gone. So that's plenty of time for a 56k Internet connection to get at least 1 Bitten Red Apple. And I suggest you don't try to make profit out of books or Grooming supplies. You'll actually get less than you bought it for.

Once you've mastered the art of cheap foods, then move on to Koi Food where you can make at least 1000 NP for each Frozen Fish Gel. And their real price is 90 NP. Then move on to Space Food where you can buy food like Fettucini Alfredo for 200 NP and resell it for over 2000. Now this is for cable, DSL, and T1-T3 users. You can try to buy rare and unbuyable items and resell them for a big profit, like an Archery set. You buy it for 40-100 NP in the Toy shop and can be sold for 200,000!!!!!!! So start small, and end big. Even for you 56k users it's possible!!!

Now that you're on the right track (instead of the wrong), are you going to help the people on the wrong track or start to be one of the marketplace greedy people? Whatever you choose it better be right. I had a sale on January 4th in my store and I was selling Black trading cards for 30 NP, Purple for 20 NP, Green for 5 NP, and I donated the Pink cards and Red. Also PetPets, like a Turdle, was sold in my shop for 1000 NP and rare books for 10 NP. If you were there at my shop and were poor, consider yourself lucky.

I'm not trying to be part of the problem but the solution. So I always look at the Shop Wizard and price my items the lowest. But you know, the poor people of Neopia can be the rich people's fault. I was sold out in under 5 minutes but I had over 200 items for sale!!! Why? The rich took over. They found great deals and started to gobble up my items when it was dedicated to the poor. But at least some poor people got bargains and I got a 30,000 NP boost.

Next time when you see a good priced item, think for a moment who might need that item more than you. And keep in mind that some people with high priced seafood are on the right track and that you should be too. If all works well, you'll be over 10,000 NP in a month. Good luck!!!
