OK, now that the Battledome is up many of you are battling and having
fun with it. Here are some tips on how to survive the Battledome without
losing miserably every time.
If you are poor and cannot afford to buy expensive items to equip your
pet with, that's OK. I belong to that category as my account recently
got hacked into and everything of mine was stolen. A basic lightning beam
or a even wooden blocking shield can work just as well for your pet. If
you are really desperate, you can just have 7 weapons, transferring the
weapons to whichever pet of yours that is going to battle! Like that,
I have fought many battles and I have not lost a single one of them except
once on my very first battle.
CHOOSE your opponents carefully. When someone challenges you, don't immediately
accept the challenge - check up the pet's statistics and level. Don't
think that level doesn't matter - the higher your opponent's level, the
more abilities he or she has got to use against you! Take note of the
pet's hit points too. Choose wisely, if you feel that you can win against the
pet with your statistics, then go ahead.
If you have many abilities... great. If you don't... better go and buy
some faeries or only battle level 1 pets! Try not to use the abilities
such as alchemy (arrgh... that's the worst thing you can do as what can
you use alchemy for? It simply turns your items into Neopoints and doesn't
defend your pet... I'm not even sure if it really turns your items into
Neopoints if you use it as an ability. It probably doesn't) as they don't
really help right now. The abilities you should use are those such as
HEAL (if your hit points are going down). Your hit points will go up after
healing, or try TOUGH SKIN or BUBBLE SHIELD to protect yourself. How about
DIAMOND DUST or STONE LEGION?
Don't be silly and use the ability like tough skin, a wooden blocking
shield and a large metal shield all at once - what is the point?! They
are all defence items. Only use one defence item at a time. Use...let's
say...this kind of combination - a large metal shield, a psychic attack
and a black frost cannon. Find out what kind of weapons your opponent
has - and work out the mindset of your opponent. Use your weapons to defy
your opponent in the appropriate way(s). Let's say if your opponent is
fond of using the Scorch attack against you, use a water attack against
him.
These are basically all the tips I can give, but there are so many other
things that cannot be explained and you have to discover them for yourself
as you make progress in your battles. Good luck to all of you!
