2000-2001 What A Difference!

Neopia has changed a ton since November 15, 1999! I started playing NeoPets in January, 2000, so I know what its been like since the beginning. Here's a history of how the way things were:

1.) There were about 6 shops. They were: The Food Shop, The Magic Shop, The Clothing Shop, The Grooming Shop, The Toy Shop, and The Book Shop!

2.) Faeries were priced around 100 NP. An expensive faerie was 200 NP!

3.) There were no other worlds.

4.) There was no Wishing well, or Soup Kitchen.

5.) There was about 12 pets.

6.) A Kau was a Macy_gray.

7.) A Mynci was a Mellish.

8.) One time I went to the Adoption Center and there were all of 4 pets to adopt.

9.) You could only have 3 pets.

10.) Discount card? Whatever! Trading Post? Dream on! Guilds? Sorry! Quests? No way! Stock Market? Yeah right!

11.) The Acara was a Tigren, and The Gelert was a Polypup.

12.) Wine was common. It was priced at about 45 NP!

13.) People under 13 could have Neomail and go into the Chat.

14.) The Chat told you how many boards were in it, and the boards were deleted once a week.

15.) The Nimmo and the Uni were the two most popular pets.

Well those are just some basic facts about the ancient NeoPets Web site that has brought happiness to all of us for at least a year!
