Ancient Fate
"Long ago, there was a time when all creatures awaited this day in peace,
knowingly, and silently. They knew a great evil was to spread across the
great Neopian lands, from the peaceful town of Neopian central, all the
way to the forgotten swamp of the Feternal oreign. But a Neopian would
come forth and bear a symbol. A symbol that would show he was the one."
"No, No, Acrelinor! Be swift! Don't let him do that! Good! Keep that
up."
The great Tatsu was up early in the morning, training two of his finest
students."Now that's the way, Theohera! Acrelinor, try blocking. That's
the way!"
Macolodor was a hero. He trained and treated all pets equally and never
focused on just one. "There you are, Remline! Now, try against Theohera!"
But he too was aware of the future of trouble. He had close contact with
the source of the hope. His time was limited. The hope, as it was called,
was a future seer Flotsam who never became ill due to her many spells
she used to keep herself healthy.
"Ah, now Acrelinor, try seeing how long you can hold the Electric Pulse.
Excellent. Hold that."
The hope had recently summoned an image of a symbol, which was said to
be held by a Neopian who would lead them through the dense fog of evil.
But Macolodor was old. He knew his time was limited.
"Nice Punch, Remline. Watch that Duck, Theohera."
On his last day of life, he used the last of his energy to create an
eternal flame, which was placed in a temple, which was forgotten. The
Tatsus, however, remembered it. That is the end of my tale.
"So, basically, everyone but the Tatsus forgot, sorta?" Jake asked.
"Sorta, yeah," Hariru said. "And, I have a proposal to make."
"Yeah?" Jake asked.
"I request to accompany you on your journey as your pet."
Jake was surprised. Sorta. "Well, okay," Jake said.
"Yyyyes! Uh, I mean.. Yes, Sir."
Jake Laughed. "You don't need to be all Yessir with me. Just be
yourself."
Hairiru was puzzled. "But my instructor said-"
"Forget what he said. Just DO whatever."
Beth spoke up."If you haven't noticed, it's about eight now, let's go
to my place for the night."
They walked the last mile back to Kapilino Coast where Beth lived.
