Let's Help Poor Pets Get Adopted

by lgwaterpolo

Every day I go into the pound just to look at the poor pets in there. I know I can't adopt anymore, I have three accounts with 4 pets each. Recently I read an article about pet adoptions. It talked about how we can help more pets be adopted. I have a few more ideas.

First of all, PLEASE don't create pets if you are just planning to put them up for adoption. I see so many pets in the pound with stupid names like asdlksdjf and ////\\\\///. Obviously people don't really want these pets, otherwise they would give them better names. Also there are multiple pets, all with similar names, that were obviously all made by the same person. I repeat, PLEASE don't create pets that you don't want, because chances are, no one else will want them either.

Next, the majority of the pets in the pound are at level 1. My strategy is to adopt level 1 pets, then raise their level and put them back up for adoption. This way they have a better chance of being adopted because more people want a pet higher than level 1. So, if you have less than 4 pets you should consider doing this to help the pets. Other ways to increase a pet's chances of being adopted include painting them, raising their skills, and advertising them. If you have a pet that you absolutely HAVE to put up for adoption, go to the chat room and tell people. Chances are, someone there will want your pet, rather than them just happening to come upon them at the pound. You could also advertise pets that aren't yours, but that you have noticed at the pound and want to find a home for.

Please find as many ways as possible to help these poor pets. I have decided to sponsor five pets at a time. This means that I go to the pound, look around, and pick five pets that probably otherwise would spend a long time there. I list them in my shop, and if people adopt them and tell me, I will send them a care package to help the pets get a good start in their new home. A care package is just a bunch of inexpensive items, like food, grooming, books, and toys. Hopefully this will inspire others to do their part and adopt and sponsor other pets. And the main message: ADOPT, don't create.
