A Trip To Neopia

Far away across the sea, on Mystery Island lived a young little Kougra, named Pura. She had lived on Mystery Island all her life. She had never stepped off that island!

Well one day Pura went to school. She heard some of the richer pets talking about how over the weekend their owner took them to Neopia. They were showing off all the neat things they had gotten from the shops. The only thing Pura had from there was a toy car, that her owner found while she was there one day. Pura went home curious about Neopia, or what all the worlds were like. She asked her owner about it and asked if she could go.

"Maybe next weekend when you're off for spring break. Then I'll let you go, ok?" said Pura's owner as she fixed a teal juppie, mutando fruit, and scabu for supper.

"Oh honey," she said, "I must go to the cooking pot to fix some Cherry Neocola. Stay here and I'll be back real soon, ok?"

"Sure ok," Pura said.

Thats when it happened! Pura got the greatest idea. She would sneak out and go to Neopia herself. She got a bag and put some juppies, coconuts, a mutando fruit, and 2 scabus in it. She also took a map, a boat ticket, 1500 NP, and her island diary to write everything down.

She left a note saying, "Sara, I left to go to Neopia. Be back in 2 days. Don't worry I'll be fine. I took some NP and food."

She left the note and snuck out to the harbor. She said a silent goodbye as she reached the desk where a friendly Nimmo took her ticket. As she got onto the boat she wispered something to herself.

She said, "I'll show those richer girls I can go to Neopia too! Hehe..."

After about 25 minutes Pura became tired and fell asleep. The boat ride was long, about 3 hours long. When they finally reached Neopia, the boat bell rang so loud Pura jumped up and woke from her sleep.

When she got into the harbor of Neopia the first thing Pura saw was a big white building saying NeoLodge. She decided to go in, not knowing what to do. She went up to the desk and told the Scorchio that she was from Mystery Island and looking for a place to stay.

"Well, little lady," he said, "we have the best rooms in all of Neopia. Five star rooms that is. Would you like one?"

"Yes please," she said, "umm, maybe one that has an overlook to Mystery Island, and Island things! Do you have one?"

"We sure do little lady!" the Scorchio said. "It is the Island Suite. That is 80 NP."

Pura pulled out 80 shell like coins. That was the NP's on the Mystery Island. The Scorchio understood her condition and took her kind of NP's anyway. Even though it was not shiny golden coins like regular money. The Cybunny maid took Pura to her room. Pura was generous so she gave her 10NP.

Pura was wowed by the room. Nice silk red sheets, which were for her water bed. Pictures of The Island all over the place. The room was gorgeous. Pura was so excited to go the shops and buy some things but it was getting dark. For supper she had a Purple Juppie. After that she took a nice warm bath. Then she slipped under the silk covers.

She was about to fall asleep, when there was a knocking at her window. It ws the Pants Devil.

"AUUUUUUHHHHHH HEEEEEELLLLLLLPPPP" screamed Pura and in ran the maid Cybunny, who scared him off.

"I can see you have never been to Neopia before," the Cybunny said. "That usually happens around here. Don't worry little lady!"

The Cybunny walked off, and Pura went to sleep. The next morning, Pura woke up. She took 300 NP from her bag and went out to the main shops. She was anxious to buy something but didn't know what to buy. So she went into the Food Shop looking for breakfast.

When it was her turn to get something she said to the Chia, "Hi! May I get two coconuts,and a mega tiger squash please?"

The little Chia giggled in delight. "You must be from Mystery Island! We don't sell that kind of stuff here. If your looking for a breakfast, here take this."

The Chia handed her a fried egg, and Pura gave him 5 NP.

"Yumm! Yumm! This is really good. I must take some back with me. My owner will love it." Pura said.

She went out of the shop, and found 50 NP. It looked weird to her, but then a nice little JubJub told her about NP. Next Pura walked into the beauty shop. She bought a Pink Lipstick and some Sky Blue Eyeshadow. Then she bought a Neopian Diary from the toy shop. Then she found a Raspberry Milkshake, which she decided to save for her owner.Then she bought a blue satin collar.

Later Pura went back to the hotel. It was around 7:00, so she was tired. When she woke up sometihng was wrong. All her stuff was there; she just felt funny. She had no idea what was wrong. Then suddently she started shaking! She was gaining a new level! She was so happy! While reading The Neopian Newspaper and enjoying a Scabu, she read about Faeries and their powers. She wanted one so badly, so she went out to the magic shop and bought a Light and Water faerie, and also a Fire Spell.

She went back to the hotel. She took a shower and straightened up the room a bit. She packed all of her leftover food, new items,and the rest of NP. She turned out the lights and closed the door, then went back to the check-in desk and checked-out. Then she saw The Gift Shop. She had to buy a gift for owner. She bought her a golden ring.

Pura was now leaving and going back to Mystery Island, so she got on the boat. Waving her last good-byes, she finally left. Pura wished that she didn't have to, but she did. For the next 3 hours Pura rode back to Mystery Island. She landed at the harbor, then walked home. Her owner, Sara, was waiting at the door for her! Sara Picked her up and hugged her.

Sara put Pura down and Pura told her everything. Sara tasted the food she had brought her. Pura told her about the people she met, and about the hotel. She also told her about her new level, and the Faeries. Pura gave her the shell NP and the golden coin kind. Sara liked the Neopian things.

The next day when Pura went to school, she showed off all her Neopian items. Now everyone knows that not only rich pets can go to Neopia!
