The Tale of the Magical Key: Part Three

Mystery Isle, Magic Key

Last time, four pets, Grundoey the Grundo, _Palemoon_ the Usul, Iccorasto the Zafara and BunnyHopCy the Cybunny got swallowed by a raging river after they set off to find their owner, 98eevee, who had been away for a long time.... now part three!

The sun shone bright upon the tropical mystery isle as two friends jumped down the beach. One was a green Kiko. It had big round eyes and a plaster, and a beauty spot. Her name was Tamsin. The second was a White Blumaroo. Her name was faith_2k. As they hopped they saw four lumps, like stones. One white, one purple, one silvery and one that was kind of stripy. Tamsin giggled.

“Look at that!” she giggled.

“Four weird stones! Let's check ‘em out!”

The two pets races each other to the stones, faith_2k won. Gasping for breath, they collapsed on the sand.

“OUCH!” exclaimed faith_2k, “This rock has.... spikes?!”

The two pets twirled around to face the purple rock. Suddenly, it started to move.

“Eeek!”

Tamsin jumped backwards a couple of meters as the rock raised onto 4 legs. The other 3 rocks also started to move.

“Ooohh!” complained the purple one.

“Where are we?” the white one coughed.

“S...sand...we must be on the mysterious island....”

Tamsin stared at the rocks, then... “I... Iccorasto?”

The purple rock looked up.

“Yeah?” it said, brushing sand off itself, “Wazzup Tamsin?” Faith_2k still looked confused.

“Don’t worry!” laughed Tamsin.

“These are my friends! Iccorasto, _Palemoon_, Grundoey and BunnyHopCy!”

Tamsin turned to the four rocks, now brushing themselves and looking considerably more like NeoPets.

“Where’s 98eevee?” she asked.

“Th that’s t the problem,” stuttered BunnyHopCy, “W we c can’t f find him! B but w-”

“We’re off to look for him now,” said Grundoey, who just hated BunnyHopCy’s constant stuttering.

“Hm?” Faith_2k still looked a little lost, “If you're looking for something you should ask the island mystic,” she said.

“Thanks!” said _Palemoon_, “Let’s go NOW!” She said, not wanting a boring conversation to break out, but she was too late-

“You know what?” asked Tamsin. “David88 is missing, too.”

David88 was Tamsin’s owner. “Yeah!” said Faith_2k, “And Donnay and Suggitt’s pets are missing their owner, too!”

“Hmmm,” said Iccorasto, “those four Neopians live in the same village, don’t they? Do you think that could have something to do with it?”

“LET’S GO!” shouted _Palemoon_, who bored easily.

“Wait a sec,” said Iccorasto, then we can go.

“NO! LET’S GO N-O-W!” she moaned.

“I said wait a sec!” scolded Iccorasto, “Just listen!”

“NO!” she (Literally) dragged Iccorasto away from the Kiko and Blumaroo. Though Iccorasto was a lot stronger, she was surprisingly light. Grundoey and BunnyHopCy followed, arguing.

Soon enough, they were sailing towards the island with Tiki Taki tours.

“So how did we get here?” asked _Palemoon_ .

“I guess we washed up here after we fell into the lake in the forest,” Iccorasto said.

They had blacked out under water after some confusion, see the last Neopian times for the full details. But soon enough, they reached the mystic’s house.

“M... Mr. M Mystic?” said Grundoey, opening the draw (and soundings incredibly like BunnyHopCy), “Enter!”

The four pets entered the dimly lit room to see a figure, looked like a Bruce, in the corner.

“M...Mr. Mystic Sir,” said Iccorasto, “W... we were wondering if... erm... you would... erm....”

“Do not trouble yourself,” came a wispy voice, though the mystic’s lips didn’t seem to move, “I know your problem....and there is but one solution... the Magic Key....”

“The Magic Key???” asked _Palemoon_.

“QUITE!” shouted the voice, “If you talk it makes it sound less mysterious! Anyway, there is something weird going on in the human realm...”

“T The H Human R-” BunnyHopCy began, but a quick glance from the mystic silenced him.

“The human realm is a place where all humans live. Small and Big, kind and greedy, they are all in one place. And the only way for NeoPets to get there is for them to have... THE MAGIC KEY! The magic key is a porthole to their realm that was split into five pieces long ago. These five have been presented to the five wisest people in Neopia. I, of course, have one of them. If you want 98eevee THAT bad, you’ll have to gather them all!”

The four pets looked at each other, it was a lot to take in for such a little time.

“We’ll do it!” decided Iccorasto!

“We will?” asked Grundoey.

“Yeah!” said _Palemoon_.

“Y...Y Y Y Y Yeah!” stuttered BunnyHopCy.

“Well, count me out!!!” argued Grundoey.

“Count you IN is more like it!” said Iccorasto.

“No!”

“Yes!”

“NO!”

“YES”

“NO”

“YES”

“NO”

“YES”

“Heh heh heh!” said the mystic, “you MUST learn to cooperate! Every issue so far (Yes, all two of them!) havoc has broken out! YOU MUST COOPERATE!”

Where will the pets go next? Will they find all the sections of the key? Who owns the other parts? Will Grundoey leave the group? Will the mystic give them his part? Find out all this and more (Maybe not ALL of them) in the next issue!
