Green Apples: The Green Factor

Have you taken a look in the Shop Wizard lately? If so, have you searched for a Green Apple? "6000np?!!" you ask. Yes, 6000np--and more. That's the price of a Green Apple these days.

What has happened?? Is it because they're green, or because they're apples? Is it because your pets can take a bite out of them and leave you with a bitten green apple? Who knows? Not I, that's for sure.

I have asked many other Neopians and even they do not seem to know the answer. Neither do the Neopians who sell the green apples in their shop for that oh-so-expensive price. Well, today, we seek the truth. Meet Joe the Chia, seller of those fated Green Apples in the fruit market.

Reporter ravenzz: Good Afternoon, Joe.

Joe [smiles warmly]: and a good afternoon to you too...

RR: Well Joe, there seems to have been an extraordinary rise in the price of Green Apples selling in Neopian shops. Do you know anything about that?

Joe: There has?

[Reporter ravenzz shows Joe a copy of the Shop Wizard displaying green apples]

Joe: Well, my, my... [scratches head] I did notice they seemed to be selling rather fast lately, but I never knew they could sell for this much!

RR: Yes. Well, do you have any information as to why they are selling at this price?

Joe: Sorry, but I don't know. Perhaps…no, [coughs] I have absolutely no idea.

RR: Are you sure, Joe?

Joe: Yes, very sure

RR: Well then Joe, if they're selling for this price in other stores, why not put up the price of them in your store?

Joe [sweating profusely]: Well, uh, I like to sell things for cheap you see, give my customers a good price.

RR: Are you sure you don't know anything…special about those Green Apples?

Joe: No, I'm positive. I, er, must go now. Things to do. So long!

RR: Good-bye Joe.

So there you have it folks. Even the original seller of those Green Apples has no idea. But, could he be hiding something? It seems so, but we may never know. The mystery remains unsolved. In that case, there's not much left to say; though if you do manage to get your hands on one of those infamous Green Apples, you'd be wise to sell it. Soon.
