All the other faeries were
staring. Could she really accomplish it? Elsa, a young Water Faerie had
bet half her beautiful seashells that she could find a pair of wings.
She had always wanted them, she would be the first water faerie in Neopian
history to get wings. Sara, the self centered Fire Faerie whispered to
Elsa, "Even if you do get wings, they'll never be as gorgeous as mine.
Everyone knows that!" "Shut-up, Sara! I know I'll get those wings! And
I'll have them on my back when I come home! I'll make a deal with you,
Sara, if I get the wings that I want, I get...hhmmmmm...your fire orb!"
Sara said in doubt, "Fine, but you'll never get it. Too bad!" With
a flip of Elsa's fin, she dove into the deep sea, splashing a gallon of
water all over Sara. "My new leather jacket, it's ruined!" Elsa dove deeper
and deeper until she reached her little home made of colorful coral and
seashells. She got out her worn bag that she had bought at a shop in town.
She packed her favourite seashell, her necklace, some grooming products,
and a staff, which her best friend, Colleen, the Earth Faerie had given
her along time ago. She also packed a turkey dinner, some sandwiches,
two bottles of water, and some delicious fresh fruit she had gotten at
the health food store. She brushed her beautiful long blond hair, with
a shut of her house door, she was off.
Elsa sat upon a grey rock high
above where the waves barely touched the tip of her tail. She happily
ate a bunch of grapes and started to sing softly. A strange sound had
returned her call. It sounded like footprints. Suddenly, a huge glass
jar tumbled over her whole body. Her jar was filled with water and a loaf
of bread was floating around. She looked around the jar and she could
see a huge hand cupping the top of it. She knew what was happening. She
had been captured. Being captured was one of the few fears of faeries.
She was put into a large bag
and was walked over to the Marketplace. There, she was then put on a high
wooden shelf with a tag in front of her that read: "WATER FAERIE 1000
NEOPOINTS." She looked beside her and saw yet another faerie, a Light
Faerie. She too, was captured. She sat there, in her jar, bored and helpless.
Over a number of times, Elsa could see her whacking the side of the glass
with her wand. She was crying. She knew if the Light Faerie was not let
out, she would not be either.
She opened her bag quickly
and took out her staff. She poked at the jar, trying to get the faeries'
attention. To her surprise, it worked. The Light Faerie sat up and smiled
at Elsa. She was motioning with her hands and hitting the jar with something.
Elsa started hitting the jar with her staff and the Light Faerie started
clapping and smiling. After the tenth time of whacking, the glass broke
and shattered like a mirror. Elsa quickly came to the Light Faerie and
broke her glass too. The shop owner had heard the noise and came running
to the scene. The Light Faerie, flying as fast as she could, swooped near
Elsa and grabbed her hand. They were soon flying out the door. Elsa could
hear the shop owner screaming, "STOP! COME BACK!"
"So, what's your name?" Elsa
had asked the Light Faerie. The Light Faerie didn't have a response. She
could barely talk, let alone fly. She pointed to a beautiful purple flower.
"Oh, so your name is Violet, nice name!" They flew until it got dark.
The Light Faerie came to a small stream and dropped her off there. "Oh,
thank you so much!" The Light Faerie flew away and was soon out of sight.
Elsa pulled out a loaf of bread and saw a little baby Aisha sitting under
a tree. She called out to it, but it was like the Aisha was in a trance.
He came waddling towards her. The Aisha was dragging one of its paws and
one of her ears were flopped over the way some of the Cybunny's long ears
do.
"What happened to you?" Elsa
asked quietly.
"Some big meany came and terrorized
me!"
"What does he look like?" Elsa
asked.
"Well, he kind of looks like
a bull and he's got lots of brown fur and he said the whole time how many
JubJubs and Wockys he had eaten in the last month. I was able to use my
metal shield when he came towards me, so he hurt his head. Then I used
my lightning beam. He ran away, saying he'd come back to hurt me. Then
I hid under the tree and that's when you found me and you asked me what
he looked like and I said..."
"Okay, okay, I get the idea."
Elsa had said just as she heard a galloping noise. It became louder and
louder. What she saw made her almost faint. A huge herd of beasts were
galloping towards them...
Elsa brought out her necklace
and told the little Aisha to hide behind the rock. Elsa pointed the necklace
in the herd's direction and did a count down to use all her water powers
and abilities she had at the same time.
"5," Elsa said as she hoped
she would live through the rest of the day. She knew that if she used
all her powers at once, it could make her weak, and lose all her powers.
"5 is for my hope. 4. 4 is
for how many times you hurt this little Aisha. 3 is for all the things
I am going through to defeat you. 2 is for my friends back home, and how
proud they will be when I get my wings, and 1 is for my faith--I know
I can do it. FIRE!" The whole sky looked like an ocean. Bubbles were flying
everywhere. You could see them floating in the water. Quickly, Elsa grabbed
the blue Aisha and started swimming very fast. She stopped near the shore
and let the Aisha walk on land again. The Aisha closed its eyes for a
second and got a couple of deep breaths. "Thank you so much for rescuing
me!" Elsa looked pleased and her blue eyes resembled crystals that sparkled
like the stars on a dark, quiet evening. A grin spread across her face
and she said slyly, "But there is one thing I would like you to do for
me. I've been traveling for five days almost, and I seem to have gotten
lost. Have you ever heard of the Faerie Queen? You know, purple dress,
crown, wings?" The Aisha smiled back. "Of course! Everyone here knows
about her! She is so gentle and kind, but I tell you, she is VERY busy."
"Oh, I know, but little Aisha, do you think you could tell me where she
lives?" "Oh yes, definitely. She lives right there, you see that cloud?
Well you sit on it, and up you will go to her castle. You can't miss it,
it's quite big." Elsa was happy, "Oh thank you SO much!!! Bye!" She swam
deep into the sea and continued her journey that was yet to be finished.
Elsa saw the silvered outlined
cloud. She made a great jump and hopped upon the cloud. Magically, she
was lifted just as the Aisha had said and brought to a beautiful castle,
which was three times the size of her small house. She tried to waddle
around on the land. It took her a while to get to the door, but she finally
got there and it automatically opened. There she was in front of the Faerie
Queen's throne.
"Yes?" The beautiful Faerie
Queen said.
"Um, well, I have come along
way, all the way from Neopia to here. I have been in a jar, sold, caught
in a herd of beasts, and I feel tired. The reason I came to you is because
Water Faeries are the only faeries that do not have wings, and if you
gave me some, I would be deeply honoured."
The Faerie Queen's look on
her face told Elsa it would not be that easy to get wings. "Well, you
can have wings, under one condition...you have to battle me, and if you
beat me, you will get your pair of wings. If you fail, you must leave."
"All right, I'm ready," Elsa said nervously, but she desperately wanted
those wings. The Faerie Queen said, "We shall begin...now!"
The Queen suddenly fired a
rainbow frost cannon ball. It hit Elsa hard, and in just a minute, Elsa
fell to the floor. Elsa picked herself up and fired her level two bubble
beam with her water jet at the same time. It did nothing to the Faerie
Queen. It went on like this, hour after hour, and they were very, very
tired. It was the last round, and Elsa took her earth staff, her necklace,
and fired everything at the same time. The Faerie Queen fell to the floor,
and Elsa whacked her hard with her tail.
The battle was over, would
the Faerie Queen get up? 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, 0. Elsa had won!!! She bent near
the Faerie Queen and splashed some water on her to wake her up. The Faerie
Queen sat up and rubbed her eyes. She smiled at Elsa. "You are the first
faerie who has ever beaten me. In return are a genuine pair of jeweled
blue wings." They shook hands, and Elsa adjusted the wings on her back.
They were a perfect fit.. Her journey was complete. She couldn't wait
to see the look on everybody's face when she got home.
