Runaways: Based on a True Story

One day, while I was visiting Mystery Isle, I found a Kougra egg. The egg was red and had dark blue stripes. I didn't know what it was so I snuck it home and set it on my table. I went shopping for food and clothes because I was going to adopt a new NeoPet. I got home and the egg on my table wasn't an egg anymore--it was a baby female Kougra. She ate all the food I bought that day. Then it hit me that I haven't even named her yet. So I got to thinking and thinking and thinking and thinking...and finally I named her Tigger4747.

During the next few days, I read my favourite story, "Ciki's Revenge," to Tigger and played some games with her. A couple days later, I thought that I should finally adopt a pet so Tigger wouldn't get lonely. I went to Tigger and asked, "Is it okay if I get a Shoyru?" She agreed happily and started to sing, "I'm gonna have a baby sister! A baby sister!"

I went to the adoption center. A woman at the desk asked, "What do you want?" "Can I see the Shoyrus, please?" I asked pleasantly. She said, "I guess. Right this way." We walked down long hallways of Buzzes, Skeiths, Unis, Kikos, Moehogs, etc. Then we came to a hallway that was marked "SHOYRUS". I walked in and saw many different colors and sizes. On one side there were males and on the other there were females. I walked to the female side and found a really cute blue one. The lady said, "This one is the youngest female Shoyru that we have. She's three days old." I said, "I'll take it."

After three long hours, Tigger and I came up with a name for my new Shoyru--Pepsi47. I gave her the clothes I bought before I adopted her. The first word she said was "Mommy." I was so proud. The next few days I had to take care of Pepsi a lot because she was still a baby. Tigger seemed a bit jealous because she felt left out. So when Pepsi would fall asleep for naps and bedtime, I would make a special effort to play with Tigger. This little arrangement only lasted the first couple of months because having two pets became a twenty-four-hour job. I began to notice that Tigger was getting extremely jealous of Pepsi and started disliking her. A few months later, school began for Tigger. I thought this might distract her a while and give me some time to take care of Pepsi without feeling bad. But after Tigger's first day of school I got a note from the teacher.

Dear Ms. Trickey,

Your daughter, Tigger4747, has been telling all the Shoyrus bad things that will happen to them if they didn't give her their lunch money. So I thought we should have a PARENT TEACHER CONFERENCE!

Sincerely,

Ms. Fut

After I read the letter, I spoke to Tigger sternly. "Now Tigger, why did you take all the little Shoyrus' lunch money?"
"I-I-I-I was angry at, at, at that thing!" Tigger pointed at Pepsi.
"That thing happens to be your sister. Now apologise or be grounded in your room till further notice!"
"FINE! But I won't apologise," she yelled as she ran up the stairs to her room.

Later that night...

"If she really cared for me she wouldn't of grounded me," Tigger said as she ran out the door into the lurking evil of the night. Tigger walked through The Evil Forest and felt someone watching her. She heard some footsteps and wings flapping. She thought, "That could be two things. Either my owner is looking for me, or it's a Dark Faerie lurking about."

Back at home...

"If Tigger doesn't like me then I'll let mom and her have all the time together. FOREVER," said Pepsi. Pepsi scribbled some words on a piece of paper.

Back at home...

I realized that Pepsi should be asking for her bottle now, so I got one ready. I walked into her room and found a piece of paper next to her crib.

Deer Momy,

eye ran awey cuze tiger4747 doesnn't lik me eny mor soo eye left

wuv,

pepsee

I began to cry because she ran away and I also giggled at how she tried to spell (I should read her some books). I ran into Tigger's room to wake her up to ask her to help me find Pepsi. But when I got there I saw another note.

Dear Mom,

I now realize that you care only about Pepsi so...this is goodbye.

Love,

Tigger

"Tigger and Pepsi ran off?" I asked myself. That was when I called the police. On the phone I yelled, "BOTH MY GIRLS RAN AWAY!" So the police put together a search party. Tigger heard the strange noises coming closer to her. The strange noise said, "Tigger is that you?" That's when she realized it was Pepsi. "Pepsi I am so..." Tigger said as she was interrupted by a gang of Dark Faeries. They charged at Tigger and Pepsi. Pepsi ran in front of Tigger. Tigger yelled, "PEPSI NO!" The Faeries ran off when they heard someone coming. I ran into The Evil Forest with the police and heard Tigger yell, "PEPSI NO!" We ran faster until we saw something bad.

Tigger was kneeling over Pepsi. I said, "Pepsi are you all right?" She shook her head lightly. I called an ambulance on my cell phone. The chief of police and I carried the little Shoyru into the ambulance. She was going to be okay. A few days later, Pepsi came home from the hospital and cried to me. That is when we wrote this terrifying story. Anyone who is reading this should remember: Don't go anywhere without your mom or dad's permission.
