So, What EXACTLY IS the Rainbow Fountain? I see many boards put up on the NeoPets chat boards with this title. There are many mysteries to the rainbow fountain. And also, many questions about this fountain. Like, What can this fountain do? Or, where can I find this fountain? And, Is there a way for under-aged Neopians to get the fountain passes? What are fountain passes? ALL very good questions.

Well, this article has some answers. Here is all I know about the "Rainbow Fountain" :

The Rainbow Fountain is located in Faerieland. Right now, as I'm writing this, there is no button in Faerieland, so you can use the link to it here.

There are pictures of all the types of Elemental Faeries surrounding the Rainbow fountain. So, I suppose that the magical Faeries are the ones responsible for the fountain. This fountain supposedly can change the colour of your NeoPet, into colours such as red, blue, green or yellow. And the fountain can change the type of colour your NeoPet can be, such as a Faerie pet or a desert pet. Also, the fountain can alter the gender of your NeoPet!

How? All you have to do is to get a Fountain Pass. A Fountain Pass is something that is like a token for the change. To get a pass is to sign up with the sponsor, (Which also happens to keep NeoPets Free!) and voíla! You have a fountain pass! Although, you have to have a certain amount of fountain passes to get your pet gender changed, you can only so far get only one.

The Rainbow Fountain: The End to Pets in the Pound?

Could it really? I just had to find out......

For those of you who check up on the news feature in NeoPets, a new feature has just started. It is the Rainbow Fountain. It is located in Faerieland and can do amazing things. Apparently one pass can change your pet's colour to red blue green or yellow, two passes can change your pet to any colour, including Faerie and Desert, and one pass can change your pet's species.

Statistics show that the majority of people abandon there pets because they dislike their colour, or species, so with the invention of the Rainbow Fountain, they can change all of this without ditching their pets in the pound! Could this really mean the end to suffering pets? It very well could! Yippee!!!!

You can earn you Fountain Pass by signing up with sponsors. The more passes you get the more you can do with your pet. Because of this fabulous new feature, less and less NeoPets will have suffer. To insure that this happens, when you get your fountain pass, adopt a pet in the pound, and use it on them.

But there is a downside, but you can benefit from it. Paintbrushes are used to colour pets. With the Rainbow Fountain up, the value of paintbrushes is going to go down. So my advice is: sell your paintbrush while you can! $$$$$$
