Risk It? by csattanyasdisco | |

FAERIELAND - Traveling across the vast plains of Neopia with my precious Neopoints
clenched in my fists, I pondered where I should spend these hard-earned Neopoints
How about wagering them on a good race of Poogle Racing? Noooo, too risky! Convert
them to Dubloons on Krawk Island? No way! What a waste! As I took a rest on a
bench in Faerieland, I overheard a conversation between a baby Kau dressed in
a magic hat and a uniquely colored Aisha. As I eavesdropped, I began to learn
about the great quests of Neopia. Faerie Quests! Kitchen Quests! Oh, there were
so many! My mind began to race with the possibilities!
I decided to confront the two funny looking Neopets and ask a few questions about
the quests they spoke of. As I cautiously walked up to the two, they looked at
me strangely. I mustered out a quick hi and hastily got up the confidence to ask
about the Quests they were discussing. After a long stroll around the inner walls
of Faerieland with the two odd Neopets, I became educated on these Quests and
decided all Neopians should know about them. I am here now to educate you on the
Quests they gave me such great knowledge of.
To start, there are many many different kinds of quests... there's Faerie Quests,
Kitchen Quests, Esophagor Quests, Brain Tree Quests, and so on. Let's begin with
the Faerie Quests.
As you know, there are numerous faeries roaming Neopia and of these faeries, you
have the basic six, Water, Air, Fire, Earth, Dark, and Light. Among these faeries,
there are Uber faeries which are the faeries that may grant you the pleasure of
fetching them an item where in return they grant you a prize. This is the basic
underlying structure of every quest; to find an item, return it, and receive a
prize. Now let's do a quick run through of every Uber Faerie's quests.
Uber Fire Faerie.
Quest Requirement: Clothing Items.
Reward: An increase your pet's strength.
Worth it? Sure! Most clothing items are not costly whatsoever, in turn; completely
this scorching Faerie's quests are far cheaper then training your pet yourself.
Uber Light Faerie.
Quest Requirement: Trading Cards.
Reward: An increase of your pet's level.
Worth it? Possibly... Most trading cards are cheaper than 3,000 Neopoints (about
the cost of training your pet), but if she asks for a trading card more expensive
than that, I'd say, tell this Faerie, NO WAY!
Uber Earth Faerie
Quest Requirement: Magical Items.
Reward: A bloated fully fed pet.
Worth it? Not! You can easily feed your pet a few omelettes for about 100 Neopoints
rather than spend a large amount of Neopoints on her quests.
Uber Air Faerie
Quest Requirement: Grooming Items.
Reward: An increase to your pet's movement/agility.
Worth it? Why not? Most grooming items are not costly, but be sure not to spend
more than 3,000 Neopoints or you're losing Neopoints out of the deal.
Uber Dark Faerie
Quest Requirement: Toys.
Reward: An increase to your pet's health points.
Worth it? As long as the toy are cheaper than 6,000 Neopoints, go for it, she
has a tendency to give you one or two health points.
Uber Water Faerie
Quest Requirement: Books.
Reward: An increase to your pet's defense.
Worth it? It really depends. Like any other Faerie quest, don't spend more than
3,000 Neopoints on her quests!
Among any old Uber Faerie quest, you may also receive a quest from the Faerie
Queen. She grants you multiple additions to your pet's stats, but for a price.
I'd say go for it, as long as you don't spend over 15,000 - 20,000 Neopoints
Faerie quests are random though, so you can only receive a quest through a random
event. A Faerie may pop up at any time while exploring Neopia, asking you to complete
their quest.
Unfortunately, you may not use the shop wizard to search for a quest item, I recommend
asking around the Help Chat to see if anyone would so kindly look it up for you.
Be nice and don't beg for the item though, or you'll receive a tremendously deafening
awakening about beggars from fellow Help Chatters.
If you ever receive a quest you decide not to do, you may ALWAYS turn the kind
Uber Faerie down by visiting the Quests page. You can get there by clicking the
World button on the yellow left hand side tool bar, then clicking the picture
of the Faerie Queen to get to the Quests page, or just click here.
Tune in next week for the explanation of Esophagor and Brain Tree Quests!

The Legend of Faerieland
"I... I wanted to ask you something," Marie stammered. She was embarrassed. Wow, my Neopets sure do inherit a lot of habits from me. "Almost all the worlds have a legacy; what about Faerieland?

Cooking With Dung
Dung is not what you think it is. At least the Neopian version isn’t, which is why we cook with it.
