Pant, Pant, inhale, exhale, deep breath, pant,
pant. This was all that was heard from the faerie Kau heaving her suitcase
up the hill. You see this particular Kau has a very interesting story. Let me
share this with you...
IssyBellz was born in Meridell, before it was
even plotted on the Neopia map. Issy's parents travelled for work, they were
both artists. One day they had to leave for business, to Maraqua. As you all
might have guessed, poor Issy's parents left to Maraqua two days before it sunk,
killing Issy's parents. There for, Issy lived her life alone in Meridell from
then on.
Living alone at such a young age isn't the best
thing. She found herself a nice little shack and made a bed and kitchen and
everything. Then, as luck may have it, some pesky Neopians from other worlds
found Meridell and plotted it on the map causing many more inhabitants to come.
Issy, who was little, was forced to leave her cottage as more inhabitants came
and gained control over the land.
So she packed her few belongings, including her
'Blue Kau Plushie'. She put on her white puffy flower skirt and a white ruffled
peasant top. She set off for the wild. Being loyal to Meridell and too scared
to leave the protective and familiar borders she stayed in Meridell. There she
met a few interesting people, but no one special.
Finally she realised that she couldn't stay there
forever and she set off for Neopia Central. She got there by a little boat she
made out of logs. She floated right up against the shores of the Endless Plains.
She wondered, lost, through the plains until she finally reached Kiko Lake.
She lived her for a month or two and set off again to Neopia Central.
When reaching Neopia Central, she got very many
strange looks from people. This was most likely due to the shabbiness of her
clothing and possessions after so many days without seeing civilisation. She
knew, immediately she would not fit in. For the reason that she was overly tired
was the only reason she stayed in the Neolodge hotel for a year. Every day she
would set out to go to the Artist Café and read The Neopian Times and watch
poems being rehearsed.
One day, while reading The Neopian Times she
saw an article about how Meridell was in trouble and they had spotted a Flying
Castle. Packing up her belongings and after a hard goodbye to all her friends
she left off for Meridell and arrived in Meridell two weeks later.
She found the most of Meridell was abandoned
on her part of the town so she climbed a tower, which used to be the princess
bedroom and she lived there, living off of the things the inhabitants have left.
She sat, day after day, watching the castle edge nearer and nearer. She had
never felt so terribly alone. Those days were horrible. Everything was dark
and gloomy. She almost wished the castle would finally arrive so the waiting
would be over.
Ever heard the term, 'be careful what you wish
for'? Well in this situation, that was the case. Sure as her wish, the castle
finally arrived. These horrible creatures took over, raiding every house and
shop. Issy couldn't go outside for days. She just watched those horrible creatures
run around town, heaving people who were helplessly screaming. She quickly packed
her belongings in the same suitcase and put on the same clothing as she had
on her first time leaving Meridell and slyly passed those terrible creatures.
Issy dragged her suitcase up a heavy hill and
she saw the actual fighting. She sighed in deep remorse at all the wounded people
lying on the floor. A tear dripped from her eyes as she set of beyond the now
dangerous borders of Meridell, which she used to call her home.
