"Um...TK," said my Blue Grarrl named SilverEmerald. "It
seems that Snowberry-Splime...got stuck in the tree again." I was relaxing on
the couch until that moment. I got up off of the couch and stretched. Since
I was SilverEmerald's owner, it was my job to save his Petpet. Lucky me.
"I'll be right there," I said. I walked outside
and looked up into the tree. Snowberry-Splime the White Donksaur was nearly
at the top branch. I grabbed the nearest one and hoisted myself up. I kept on
"Hold on Snowberry-Splime!" called SilverEmerald.
It wasn't the first time his Donksaur had gotten up there. I kept on climbing
until I was level with Snowberry-Splime. I reached my arms out to grab him.
"OUCH!" I cried. I nearly had him, but he bit
my hand! "WHOA!" I was falling but luckily the branches broke my fall...sort
of. I landed on the ground with a big thud! Another Neopet of mine, EmeraldBlitz
walked outside. He saw me slowly picking my aching body off of the ground and
decided to step in.
"Snowberry-Splime is afraid of humans still!
Let me go up there," offered EmeraldBlitz. It was a week ago when he got changed
into the Mutant Krawk he is today. At first he hated it, but now it was awesome
to him. He dug his claws into the tree and started climbing. He had four strong
arms as well as a strong tail. Effortlessly he climbed up and grabbed the Donksaur.
He jumped out of the tree and landed on the ground. He handed Snowberry-Splime
over to SilverEmerald.
"Thank you! Now Snowberry-Splime, don't get stuck
up there again," SilverEmerald said. I rolled my eyes. Snowberry-Splime had
a better chance of winning the Poetry Contest than not going up into that tree
again. But EmeraldBlitz had gotten him down, and for that I was extremely grateful.
"Hey good work EmeraldBlitz! You deserve a reward,"
I said to him. I expected him to want to get some Peach Ice Cream (which I would've
gone for) but he wanted something different.
"I've got an idea! Can you take me to the Stone
Dome?" he asked.
"Why?" I asked. It wasn't that I didn't want
to go with him, it was just I wanted to know why he wanted to do this.
"Well, you bought me the Jagged Krawk Blade the
other day and I haven't had a chance to use it." I nodded and we left for the
We walked into the Stone Dome. It's the nearest Battledome location to us since
we live in the Haunted Woods.
"Let's go to the Quick Fight place. They can
match us up with a partner to fight," I said to EmeraldBlitz. We kept walking
but we were stopped by another person. He was a couple of years older than me.
I don't know why, but something about him just gave me the creeps. His Silver
Jetsam reflected the same smile on the owner's face.
"Quite a nice Krawk you've got there. How about
a fight?" he said in a deep voice. I nodded reluctantly and we walked onto an
empty battlefield to fight.
We walked into place behind our Neopets. We stood
there for a second until the match began. It started!
"EmeraldBlitz, use your Jagged Krawk Blade!"
I yelled to him. My Neopet ran toward the Jetsam. As fast as lightning, the
Jetsam whipped out a bag of Chia Flour! He ripped it opened and dumped it onto
"NO!" We both yelled at the same time. For a
few seconds he just stood there covered in the pale yellow powder.
Where the Mutant Krawk stood, a Yellow Chia replaced
him. The other owner laughed. EmeraldBlitz tried to use the Jagged Krawk Blade,
but since he was not a Krawk anymore, he couldn't lift it.
"Finish it off!" the owner yelled to his Jetsam.
The Jetsam smiled and used his Jetsam Fin of Terror to finish my pet off.
I stood beside EmeraldBlitz on his bed. SilverEmerald, GoldenRhino and JadePaw
were all there too. JadePaw carefully tipped a Healing Potion into EmeraldBlitz's
mouth. His eyes stirred and he was revived.
"Uh...hi. I had the weirdest dream. I fought
this Jetsam who used Chia Flour on me," he said. I didn't know what to do. I
picked up a Red Mirror and showed him what had happened.
"AHHH!" he yelled. "It wasn't a dream!"
"I'm so sorry! That guy targeted you because...well...you
were a Mutant Krawk after all," I told him. Tears flowed down his face.
"Don't worry," said GoldenRhino "You got used
to being a Mutant Krawk so well, you can get used to being a Chia just as easily."
"Being a Mutant Krawk was awesome! I could see
better with my three eyes, I had a strong tail, I had three arms and...and..."
He broke down into tears. I thought it'd be best if we left him alone, so I
led my pets out.
"Now what do we do?" asked JadePaw as we all
entered the Den.
"We can just buy another Krawk Transmogrification,"
"I bought that first one...but it cost more than
150,000 NP. We can't afford another."
"Yes we can! You have more than 2,000,000 NP!"
SilverEmerald told me.
"Well, that money is just in case something really
bad happens. What if you guys get kidnaped and I have to pay a ransom!" As soon
as those words came out of my mouth, I felt stupid.
"Come on!" chorused all three of them together.
"Fine. I'll go out and buy one," I agreed.
"EmeraldBlitz! Come here!" I called to him when I got back. He slowly made
his way in. When he saw what I was holding his eyes lit up.
"TK, you got it! Thank--but that's a Kiko Transmogrification
Potion!" he exclaimed. I looked at the bottle.
"Oh, that's for something else. Here you go,"
I said as I grabbed the real Krawk Transmogrification Potion. He smiled an uncorked
it. He managed to drink the disgusting potion and within seconds he was a Mutant
"Thank you! If you don't mind me asking, what's
that other potion for?" he questioned. I smiled.
"You'll see. Follow me," I said as he followed
me out of the NeoHome.
We entered the Stone Dome again. I looked around and spotted that guy and his
Jetsam. He saw us too.
"Hey, what do you want?" he asked.
"I just wanted to congratulate you on that match.
Here, have this," I said as I handed the potion to the Jetsam.
"What is it?" he asked.
"It's...um...neocola!" I said. The Jetsam shrugged
and took a long sip from the bottle. All of a second he was a Mutant Kiko!
"NO!" yelled the owner. EmeraldBlitz and I laughed
as we left the Stone Dome.
"Come on EmeraldBlitz. Let's go get some Peach
If there was one thing we learned form this experience,
it was vengeance is good.
