PET CENTRAL - As many of you have probably noticed, there is a Gourmet food
competition going on, where if your pet eats a food with a rarity from 90 to
100, it gets a point, and once you get so many points, you get a trophy. Well,
I was interested in maybe starting my striped Shoyru on it, and I was looking
at what some of the people fed their pets. To put it bluntly, I was disgusted.
To name a few, there was Fish Ice Cream, Smelly Sardine Wrap, Asparagus with
cheese - okay, so maybe Adam likes that, but still, it's gross - various dinosaur
limbs, and swill pudding. Don't you think that's just a little wrong, feeding
your cute little pet a Neopet's limb, or swill pudding, with a description of
"Just like Jelly, only made from dirty river water" just for a trophy?
It's sick! The pet probably gets all bandaged and ill!
If you ask me, I think Neopets should make some more edible gourmet foods
for your pet. Maybe fried squid - yes, I've eaten it - or New Meridell Clam
Chowder, maybe some salami and Swiss cheese rolls. Something you yourself would
eat. Was the Neopets team bored, and couldn't think of any gourmet foods?
Anyway, let me lecture people now. All of you people who have fed your pet
this garbage, you should be ashamed of yourself! Remember, this is Neopets,
not Neotrophies. How would you like it if you came home from school, and sitting
on the table was a nice juicy snake taco, or brain kebab? Now I'm not saying
all gourmet foods are bad. The crepes and cakes and such are okay, but
honestly, would you really want to eat octopus ice cream? Sure, octopus might
taste nice, but would you want it in your ice cream?
And don't say that Neopets aren't real, so it doesn't matter. The whole point
of this site is to have fun with your pets, not show them off along with the
rest of your account! When I first joined, there were only half as many items,
if that, and tons of cool stuff that is gone now (laptop, model horse, Switch-A-Roo,
etc.), so you had more time to actually go to the games room and play some hide
and Kacheek. However, that's another story (hopefully).
I also hate those crystal foods! Have you seen the descriptions? "Will knock
your teeth out!" Ew! You'll be getting a lot of visits from the tooth fairy
if you feed your pet that. Not that I don't admit to feeding my pet some weird
stuff. My Cybunny used to love exotic plants, and my Shoyru likes half-eaten
berry (bleugh! I don't think so!), but that's not nearly as bad as a chocolate
duck rump!
Now, here is what I think some real gourmet foods are ( not nearly enough
room for all of them!):
Meridell Clam Chowder
Calamari (fried squid)
Salami and Swiss cheese roll
Dutch Apple Pie
French Silk Pie (my favourite!)
Tigersquash ice cream cake
Just think about people who have bothered to read this far, and don't just
feed your pet some gross food for a trophy. It's cruel! |
