MYSTERY ISLAND - Recently, I have been known to buy items that are normally
1-10 NP, that are usually known as Tombola items. My
Safety Deposit Box is filling with many of these items that most people just
discard saying, "Oh, these are just Tombola items, they'll never be worth anything."
But they are wrong.
I have only been actively collecting and selling Tombola items for two weeks
and already my bank account has gained at least 2 NP interest a day and no,
I really haven't been playing games as much as I should but I do have a slight
Scratchcard addiction to go along with my Tombola and Wheel of Excitement addiction.
My Tombola earnings have gone towards funding for those two. I am still making
NP even though I only win more than 100 NP on the Wheel only 1 out of 10 or
15 spins, or every other day. Sorry, this paragraph is only here to convince
you that investing in Tombola items is a good deal, it does nothing to explain
exactly how I get my NP .
Everyone knows, with the exception of very new newbies, that you can go to
Tombola once a day and get an item, whether or not you actually win. Sometimes
the Tiki Tack Man will feel sorry for you and give you around 100 NP . Other
times, rarely, you may win 100 or so NP and the following items... a fish pop.
You may even be extremely lucky and win a faerie or a codestone or even that
rare paint brush you have always wanted! Yay! But, I still have not explained
fully how I have made any NP with Tombola items, have I? OK, next paragraph
then.
(I'm terribly sorry about how I jump from subject to subject. This is good
advice, really. For some reason I just can't get my thoughts into order right
now, but this is my first article, so... yea.)
I buy (or win) my Tombola items*
for 10 NP or less. If it is a food item, I check the
Shop Wiz for the average price. If it is 15 NP or less, or is a non-edible
(for most pets) item, I price it with the Starting Price of 9 and Minimum Bid
price of 1 Neopoint. Yes, I am talking about using the Auctions.
For food items priced over 15 NP in the Wiz, I usually go by the most common
price (usually 20 tops) as the starting bid, and 2 for the minimum bid. All
of my auctions only go for an hour, because things that aren't codestones or
map pieces only get bid on in the last 15 minutes of the auction anyway.
I think that's it for my tips on auctioning off Tombola items. Even though
you had to read through my rambling before you got to the information, this
does work. It is very simple, so I could not pull the explanation to be longer.
Now I'm off to download some songs and do the Faerie Crossword.
*As long as the item
is not worth more than 50 NP I will use this technique. If I can sell it for
around 50 NP or more, I might just use my shop to sell the item. |
