FAERIELAND - Well, I'm sure your all aware of Faerie
Quests, and in a time of bickering Jhudora and Illusen, or the Snow
Faerie stuck atop Terror Mountain, why not go back to the original Faerie Quests?
First of all, you get a Faerie Quest every 2-3 days. Now if you yell at me,
"Yo, Mr. Lucky! I haven't been summoned by the Faerie's for 2-3 months!" I'm
going to yell at you, "Yeah, like yelling at your computer screen is gonna get
you anywhere in life. Now read on, you may find the problem within this article."
There are three ways.
1. Go to the Guilds Page, and on the Toolbar you'll see Faerie Quests.
Yeah, I know, weird.
2. Go to Faerieland, go to Faerie City, and go to Faerie Quests. Makes
more sense.
3. If your in a Faerie Quest (this is my favourite) go to the Shop Wizard
and the Faerie that gets mad at you for trying to cheat.
Okay, your at this page. If the Faerie Queen is saying: 'You don't have a
Faerie Quest yet!!! You must wait for us to give you one!' or something to that
effect your good to go. What this message means is that you are eligible to
receive a Faerie Quest when surfing the site. This is sort of the 'accepting
to do the quest' part. If the Faerie Queen says: 'No more quests for you for
another (insert number here) seconds!' this just means you recently rejected
a quest and you must wait to get one. If the Faerie Queen says: 'Mmmkay, I guess
you can do another quest now,' or something to this effect this simply means
that (insert number here) seconds time frame has recently ended. And also, if
you have this status message: THIS MEANS YOU ARE INELIGIBLE TO RECEIVE FAERIE
QUESTS! That's right, if you haven't had a quest in four months, it's because
you rejected a quest and you haven't proclaimed eligibility to the Faerie Queen!
How do we fix that? It's a simple button called F5. Or refresh for you non-keyboard
literate people. You will receive the 'You don't have a Faerie Quest yet!!!
You must wait for us to give you one!' message, which means you are now eligible
for receiving a quest at a Random Time. Now, if the Faerie Queen says, 'Eata
loafa breada day!' you obviously didn't go to the right page.
Okay, so let's put on a little waiting music from M*YNCI...do-do-do-dun-do-do-do-dun,
okay. Now you've been selected by one of the seven Uber-Faeries/Queen Faerie
to do a quest.
What are you going to do? Well, let's start with SHOULD you do the quest.
It all depends on the Faerie and Item you have to fetch. Look below.
If the Uber-Fire Faerie asks you to do a Quest.... You are now on the lookout
for a Clothes Item. These are normally very cheap, and the reward is 2 Strength
Points. Do this quest.
If the Uber-Water Faerie asks you to do a Quest.... You are now on the lookout
for a Book Item. These are normally cheap, but can be expensive. The reward
is 2 Defence Points. This quest is highly recommended.
If the Uber-Dark Faerie asks you to do a Quest.... You are now on the lookout
for a Toy Item. (Woo-hoo, I'm going to take the world over, one Rubber Duckie
at a time.) These are normally cheap, and will rarely be expensive, and the
reward is 2 Hit Points. This quest is highly recommended, unless you are one
of those paranoid people who are afraid the Uber-Dark Faerie is planning to
take the world over with Keyrings.
If the Uber-Air Faerie asks you to do a Quest.... You are now on the lookout
for a Grooming Item. These are normally cheap, but since Neopets is adding new
Grooming Items they make get more expensive. The reward is Two Agility Points.
This quest is kinda recommended, since Agility is currently a dummy stat. I
would do it though: Who knows when it will be used?
If the Uber-Light Faerie asks you to do a Quest.... Oh...yeah...Light Faeries...yeah...your
going to be seeing more of those...erm, anyway, the Light Faerie asks for Collectable
Cards. These can be Cheap or Expensive, but although I'd probably buy two (one
for her, one for me) you can do whatever you want. The reward is One Level.
This quest is conditionally recommended. If your pets are at Level 39, you don't
want to lose your Cap'n Threelegs ability, especially for Kyrii, since their
'day' is coming up soon. And same goes for increasing training school costs.
Otherwise, go ahead! Once you get to Level 50, I've heard you get something
special...
If the Uber-Earth Faerie asks you to do a Quest.... This normally means a
your now trying to grab a Magic Item. These are normally expensive, and the
reward is a bloated pet and an extra pound. Wow. Big whoop. Ignore these quests
unless your pets are very hungry and you're the kind of person who's going to
forget to check the Faerie Quests page. This quest is NOT RECOMMENDED.
If the Faerie Queen (fancy music here) asks you to do a Quest.... The Faerie
Queen has been known to ask for any of what the Uber-Faeries ask for, Tropical
Fruit, and other items that have left my mind. However, this quest is worth
it. The prize is, to my memory, 2 levels; 2 HP, and 1 Strength, but I may have
something scrambled. In fact, this entire article is from memory...but my publicist*
doesn't want me saying that. But erm...any way, this quest is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
Especially with the war coming up. *I don't have a publicist. I'm not that scared.
If a Faerie Lupe** asks you to
do a Quest.... Faerie Lupes will ask you to join 'almost-cult' RP guild, you
will RP Lupes, ignore other pets, and sound like those Non-PC Owners on TV that
act like total snobs and that their computer is better. This quest is not recommended
if you like to keep sanity. It's still okay to own a Lupe...just take EXTREME
CAUTION! MWAHAHAHAHA! Oh dear...there goes every empty spot in my Inbox. Darn.
**Sorry
Lupe owners, I haven't nagged on Lupes for a while. This was only to get on
Faerie Lupes that have RPing owners...erm...anyway...
Okay, we've covered IF and WHAT. Now, HOW?
Everybody's first instinct before they realise this is that they run to the
Shop Wizard. Guess what: THIS DOES NOT WORK. The Faerie's call this 'cheating.'
I guess that's okay for them, they do not have a time limit like Illusen, Jhudora,
or the Snow Faerie. Ya gain some, ya lose some.
How are you going to get that item? I myself prefer checking my Safety Deposit
Box first. If it's a Uber-Light, Fire, or Air Faerie Quest, I'd go to the Main
Shop where this item is stocked. If that doesn't work, you got many options.
1. The Trading Post. The Faerie's were gracious enough not to kill
this search engine.
2. The Auction Genie. The Faerie's didn't block this either.
3. Neofriend. You can ask your friend to give you one, or tell you a
shop with it in stock.
4. The Problem with 1 & 3 is that the other end may not always be on,
and #2 is the fact it takes forever for the Auction to finish, and if at the
last second you are outbid, ARGH! #4 is my favourite, but only applies to people
with the Parental Permission Form in or are 13+. That is to go to the 'Quests'
board on NeoChat. Sometimes somebody will be doing 'Quest Help,' which is where
you Neomail them the item you need, and they search it up in the Shop Wizard
and tell you what shops it in. I prefer posting a notice on the board, "Help!
I need this item!"
(Be sure to say 'What the Item is')
Sooner or later someone will post on that notice or Neomail
you the top shops with that item. You thank them (if you want them to do it
again) and run to that shop. Same works for Guild Message Boards, IF your Guild
allows it. You don't want to be booted before that *cough*illegal*cough* contest
ends, eh?
Don't forget, if you have DSL and want to help Neopia, this is a great way
because you can do it so fast! 56k, and even 28k, or possibly 14k, you can do
it, but it will be very frustrating. Very frustrating. As in 'VERY' and 'FRUSTRATING.'
It puts the VERY in VERY FRUSTRATING, and the FRUSTRATING in FRUSTRATING VERY,
erm...VERY FRUSTRATING! You get the point?
Well, anyway, so now you have the item, you give it to the Faerie, and voila!
You have the stat increase. Now, if you were to ask me: What is the future of
these Faerie Quests? Are they going to stay in one place? I doubt it.
Sooner or later, Faerie Quests will become even more intense, with other Faeries
such as the Battle Faerie, Tooth Faerie, Space Faerie, and Soup Faerie asking
you for some work. The Battle Faerie may be pretty down to earth, asking for
a Battledome Item and giving 1 HP and 1 Strength. The Soup Faerie probably will
ask for Food, and you get bloated and 1 Defence. The Tooth and Space Faerie
will be a larger one (for more then just an item) though, to which extent I
do not really have the ability to predict.
Of course, this may change to just having these Faerie's have their own quests,
like the Snow Faerie or Jhudora, or they may not have anything at all! Support
the Reconstruction of Maraqua and bye in Six (Hmm...six Uber Faeries...weird...)
Different Languages... until next time. |
