GAMES ROOM - Something has always struck me about the feature Collectable Cards.
They take your money, and don't give it back in any way. (That's my sort of
investment.) Or do they?
I can probably find a user right now that has a few Collectable Cards probably
just wasting away. Aha. I just did. I'm going to discuss this user's cards for
later.
Collectable Cards can be bought from none other then the Collectable
Card Shop. You buy them and put them in your
NeoDeck. Other then sitting around and looking pretty, they actually
have some history to them. It was originally planned that these Cards would
be used in some sort of Battledome, just for cards. It was sometime in early
Y3 some Chia wrote some rules for a card game, but it would require different
cards! So, it was decreed, that all the 'battle cards' of all the worlds, should
be reformed and changed into 'Collectable Cards.'
And I spent 50,000 NP on a strong card weeks before.
Well, you want to know something? We have had heard zilch about the new game.
Although I theorise that Collectable Cards will eventually become their own
game, I'll skip that for later.
Meanwhile, what are Collectable Cards for? Well, the first that would come
to everybody's mind is that they are good collectibles. That's good: You always
have these cards you so desperately want! You know, like Krawks or Jetsams,
you want them, but you have to work to obtain them. Of course, Krawks and Jetsams
have advantages such as Battledome Items and abilities, something cards lack.
Without pictures and descriptions, each card is like another, and another, and
oh! Never mind, the same one.
Although that's not the first thing that comes to my mind. Not at all. Collectable
Cards describe someone's personality. For example, the one person I pulled up
earlier has Two
Rings Archmagus, Uzarro,
Geirrod
Sternhoof, Eleus
Batrin, & Elfin
Kyrii. All of the cards but Uzarro have some sort of Medieval-Myth feel
to them. So this person must like that sort of stuff! This is a great way to
make Neofriends or to base a Neomail on. Cool, eh?
Or me and my deck, La
Piattaforma di Perfezione, Italian for 'The Platform of Perfection.'
You see I have a lot of cards. In fact, some of them are outdated and I will
remove them, but my main computer, good old Pavil, is crashing on me every 5
seconds and I'm typin' on a Clone... well, anyway, my NeoDeck may describe a
little about me. Some cards describe my interest in Aquatic Sealife (although
I hate getting wet) or some show my Gelert ownership. Although I don't own a
Krawk Card or a Koi Card... wait! There are no Koi cards?!?
So, NeoDecks are fun and show your personality. Will they be any good in the
next year? My guess is yes. Neopets will probably release a line of 'glowing'
or some sort of special feature cards in the Collectable Card shop that will
be used in some sort of mini-Battledome or enhance your pet's abilities... who
knows? The card Kasuki Lu already gets you a one-player Battledome Challenger!
The Card-Battledome will probably work that some cards specialise in Hit Points,
some in Attack, and some in Defence. As you win, you cards get stronger, and
you have Hi-Score lists for some cards.
And if that doesn't happen, we can always hope for NeoDeck Spotlight?
For the time being, I'd recommend buying a new card every other week or so...
well, except for Cerbekus... that 3-headed thing scares me! Seriously!
*knock knock*
I KNEW IT! HE'S AFTER ME!
*knock knock*
AGE! IT'S GOING TO EAT ME!
*knock knock*
THAT AIN'T NO FLUFFY! BYE IN SIX THREE HEADED LANGUAGES UNTIL NEXT TIME!
*epk jumps in air, grabs article, leap's out third Story window, survives
(?) and runs to the post office*
Meanwhile...
lizzagold: Hello?
Pizza Mynci: Here's your Extra Large ErgyFruit Pizza!
lizzagold: ErgyFruit? Ahh, egold and splashgold's disgusting midday
snack... um, have you see a Neopian Times writer-looking owner lately?
Pizza Mynci: The guy that jumped out the third story window?
lizzagold: Yup, that's him. |
