HAUNTED WOODS - Surprisingly enough, the acceptance rate of Mutant NeoPets
among owners and other NeoPets alike is very high. There are a few exceptions,
of course, but to every rule there is all ways an exception, right? I was fortunate
enough to talk with user "worldly_guru" a few nights ago. She and I had a very
interesting interview on Mutant NeoPets.
"What makes the Mutant Cybunny appealing?"
worldly_guru: I like gothic style things and the Mutant Cybunny just
appeals a lot to me. I like the tail and the skulls on it the best.
"Is spending 14k NP-25k+ NP worth it for a Mutant Cybunny?"
worldly_guru: I think so... That is the best looking one I think.
"What did you think of the Mutant Blumaroo? I see you have one of those…"
worldly_guru: Yeah, I like the Mutant Blumaroo (Obviously, if I have
one) but I like it because it is kind of cute and sad looking at the same time.
Responses like this were very surprising. You see, I have been afraid that
Mutant NeoPets are treated worse than the other NeoPets. I have been afraid
that they were shunned, unpopular and unloved by the NeoPets. Yes, there are
some owners who dislike the Mutants…

On that note I asked, "Is there a Mutant you specifically hate? Why?"
worldly_guru: Mutant Techo--I think that thing is wicked ugly and not
in a good way... lol…it's just really ugly.
worldly_guru: I don't like [Mutant Grundo's]. They could look a lot
"cooler", they are kind of plain and boring.
Worldly_guru: I don't like that one too [The Mutant Elephante] !! That
is not really mutant.
How could you say that?
You see, I have been very concerned because I changed my pet, StocktonRajaniemi,
into a Mutant Kiko. After doing so, I was worried he would not adjust. As it
turns out, he is a lot happier now. I had a one-on-one talk with him just to
make sure.
ireallyamaloser: Are you upset that I changed you into a Mutant?
StocktonRajaniemi: Not at all! I think I look A LOT cooler now, and
I'm MUCH more intimidating. Think about if YOU were in the battle dome… Would
a male Aisha intimidate you?
ireallyamaloser: Your siblings are Aisha's and they've won in the battle
dome…
StocktonRajaniemi: Well, I guess the main point is, is that I'm more
happy. And you know? I think I have more friends after this.
ireallyamaloser: That's good to know, sweetie.
I think the main point for me writing this article, is that I hope that those
Neopians who don't accept Mutants, will accept them now. Everyone and everyplace
needs diversity, even Neopia. Oh, and on a last note, EVERYONE I have talked
with agrees: Being turned into a baby is a much worse fate than becoming
a Mutant! ;) |
