Doomsday Rider VI: Prince Zing-Lau Returns - Part Three

by yugo149

Previously, on Doomsday Rider VI, the Chia Police have confused Achinarak with Doomsday_Rider and have begun to chase him throughout Neopia. Not only that, but Vipor has now been reawakened, which means Tuturis is the final piece of Zing-Lau's plot for universal domination.

"I CAN'T KEEP this up forever," I said to myself, panting, as I ran the rest of the way down Highway 17. "The Chia Police just will not give up." I jumped as a stream of bullets struck the cement right beside me. "This is not good. Not good at all."

8:14 PM NST: Earth

"Master Zing-Lau?" a human cautiously beckoned.

"What is it now, Shenoei?" Zing-Lau demanded.

"I just figured you might like to know that Doomsday_Rider is heading north on Highway 17, and he's getting close to Hangar 19 where the C-19 CollisionChaos Jet is," Shenoei answered.

     "Good," Zing-Lau said.

"What do you mean, 'good'?" Shenoei demanded. "If he boards the C-19, the Chia Police won't be able to follow him!"

"Yes they will. You're forgetting about their C-40 Skull Jet," Zing-Lau said. "Now leave me alone."

"Yes, sir," Shenoei answered, turning off the radio. "If only Zing-Lau knew what I had up my sleeve." The floor beneath Shenoei began to glow reddish-orange, and then the entire building exploded in a tower of fire and smoke.

9:03 PM NST: Hangar 19

I ducked inside an old-looking hangar.

"Whew!" I said, sighing with relief as a trickle of sweat streamed down my face. "I have no idea how I ran for that long without a single break."

I heard a revving noise from behind me, and I nearly jumped out of my skin. I spun around, and saw a jet leaving the hangar. It was strange looking. The wings were single-layer and on top of the plane's main body. Two of the things like what helicopters land on were on the base of it. I ran after it and grabbed onto the tip of the wing just as the jet lifted off the ground and into the sky. I jumped on top of the wing and sat down to enjoy the ride.

The jet veered to the left, and I looked up to see what had happened. There was another jet behind the one I was on. I had heard about it on the news. It was the Chia Police's new air-strike vehicle, the C-40 Skull Jet. It slid off to my left, and shot three fireballs out of the gun on its right wing. The fireballs were bigger than my head, and they all hit the wing at the exact same time. I jumped up right after the fireballs hit, and slammed my Million Degree Sword into the cockpit windshield. It started to drop down, so I yanked my sword out of the glass, and jumped back onto the other jet.

"That wasn't so hard," I said, smiling to myself. But I was wrong. There was a hard jolt from beneath the jet. I looked down, and realised the C-40 Skull Jet had rammed the bottom of the jet I was on, and we were both falling from the sky.

"Definitely not good!" I shouted, grabbing onto the front of the wing. Both jets hit the ground in front of Prince Zing-Lau's base. Unfortunately, I didn't get a chance to infiltrate it right away. I lay on the cold concrete ground, a small trickle of blood coming from my mouth, and then I blacked out.

"Well, Psychodogg, normally I wouldn't be willing to let someone adopt a pet like Anubis III, but I suppose if you make sure he doesn't get into trouble it's all right," Dr_Death said.

"Okay then, so how much to adopt Anubis III?" Psychodogg asked.

"Does 400 NP sound fair?" Dr_Death asked.

"It sounds fair to me," Psychodogg said.

"All right then," Dr_Death said, pulling the adoption forms out of his desk. "Just fill these out, fork over the NP, and Anubis III is yours." Psychodogg filled out the forms, gave Dr_Death the 400 NP, and Dr_Death handed Psychodogg the key to the cage.

"Let's just flip this switch here..." ShenDogg said, talking to himself as he prepared the Doomsday Warship for takeoff. The entire ship started with a jolt, and several of the enslaved minions hurried to get onboard so they wouldn't have to be around for when Tuturis was awakened.

     "Achinarak!" ShenDogg shouted.

     "What?!" Achinarak snapped.

"You're the one stuck with me on this horrible ship," ShenDogg answered.

"Master Zing-Lau, do I have to go with ShenDogg?" Achinarak answered.

"Yes," Zing-Lau answered, turning to face Achinarak. "Vipor is stuck with Mechanicore, and Tuturis is stuck with me, so you're going with ShenDogg."

Achinarak turned around and slid silently into the Doomsday Warship.

10:14 PM NST: Psychodogg's NeoHome

"Psychodogg, thanks again for 'adopting' me from the pound earlier," Anubis said, thanking Psychodogg for the fourth time in fourteen minutes.

"It was no problem, Anubis," Psychodogg said.

"Well, if you'll excuse me, I've got to get going," Anubis said, walking out the front door.

At MTL-Rider's former base...

Boomdogg jumped into one of the escape pods and turned it on.

"Shoot!" Boomdogg shouted, hitting the control panel. "I don't remember how to work these kind of things." He silently leaned against the seat and tried to remember how I'd worked it when we went up to fight Emperor Kaltex. Suddenly, it occurred to him.

"Of course!" He said, hitting himself in the head with his palm. "I have to turn the power on first." He silently laughed at himself for forgetting that step. When he flipped the power on, the pod slowly lifted into the air. "Okay, so then I set it for a collision course with the object in the sky," he quietly explained to himself. The pod rumbled with a jerk, and it shot into the sky to intercept the Doomsday Warship.

On the Doomsday Warship...

The pod Boomdogg was in slammed into the side of the Doomsday Warship and embedded itself there. He silently slid out of the pod and climbed up to the top of the ship. He punched a hole in the ship and tore it open wide enough for him to climb in. He dropped down into the war ship and silently made his way through it. After a few minutes, he stumbled upon an arena that was just a hole in the floor with a platform in it and three bridges going into the ring.

"Welcome, Boomdogg," ShenDogg said from above. Boomdogg's attention went up to the ceiling, and there he saw ShenDogg, standing on the ceiling!

"Wha--? How can you be standing up there?!" Boomdogg demanded.

"It's simple, really," ShenDogg said, jumping off the ceiling and dropping to the floor. "Every wall in this arena has its own gravity. Which ever one your feet are facing is the wall you will go to."

"This place is starting to freak me out," Boomdogg said to himself.

"Achinarak, you have a challenger!" ShenDogg shouted, jumping onto the ceiling. Achinarak slid out of the room on the other side of the ring and walked toward the center. Boomdogg did the same, and the bridges around the platform retracted into the floor outside the ring.

"Oh, shoot. Now I'm stuck in this ring," Boomdogg said to himself.

"ShenDogg, get the energy generator going. I'll need some extra energy to win this fight," Achinarak said.

"Right," ShenDogg said to Achinarak, nodding once. He walked to the Opalstone, the Citrinestone, and the Rubystone, adjusting them so they were locked on the ceiling. Then he walked over to a switch just outside the ring and flipped it, causing the three Sacred Gemstones on the ceiling to send abundant energy to Achinarak. When the three bolts of energy hit him, Achinarak started to mutate. His claws became sets of five fingers, he grew a tail exactly like Scorpio's, he grew about three times his regular size, and he grew three spikes out of the back of his head. After his transformation, Achinarak let his hands slowly fall toward his waist.

"What the?" Boomdogg asked to no one in particular, slowly backing away from Achinarak.

"You'd better be running away. I've reached stage three of my true form," Achinarak said, raising one of his clear hands.

"I don't think this will work, but it's worth a shot," Boomdogg said to himself. He jumped up, focusing on a spot right between Achinarak's eyes. He hit with deadly precision, and ricocheted off and almost touched the ceiling. Achinarak grabbed his face in pain, and began screaming and ranting things that I don't think should be repeated here.

"Kabang!" Boomdogg shouted as he landed on the floor.

     "Arrgh!" Achinarak shouted.

Boomdogg jumped onto the wall and run up the side, then leapt off and aimed for the same spot between Achinarak's eyes, and again hit with deadly precision. Boomdogg dropped to the floor again, and Achinarak stumbled backward. He slipped on the edge of the ring and fell out of the Doomsday Warship and plummeted back to Neopia.

"You defeated Achinarak," ShenDogg said, donning a grin across his face. "But you won't defeat me!" ShenDogg dropped to the floor, and began to stare Boomdogg down. "I've been in the Dark Dimension since you killed me last time, and when you consider the fact that the gravity there is at least seventy times what it is here, I'm obviously going to be a lot stronger and faster than last time."

"You're not alone," Boomdogg said, grinning, almost taunting ShenDogg to attack.

"That's it!" ShenDogg shouted. ShenDogg rushed Boomdogg. Boomdogg slid under ShenDogg, grabbed his ankles and started slamming him against the steel floor. Boomdogg threw ShenDogg up after about seven hits.

"Phoenix Rising!" Boomdogg shouted. A ring of fire appeared under ShenDogg and a wall of fire emerged from it and slowly began to rotate. As it rotated, it slowly moved toward ShenDogg, who was frozen in mid-air. When the wall of fire reached ShenDogg, he was encased in a fireball and the entire fire attack burst into a towering inferno, and then died. ShenDogg dropped to the floor where he lay motionless for a few seconds. He jumped back up, and the fight raged on.

"You're not the only one with the Phoenix Rising attack, you know," ShenDogg said, sneering. "In fact, I've got my own variation of the attack." ShenDogg began to float into the air, and stopped in the center of the arena. He held his paws in front of him, and yelled out "Inferno Drill!" ShenDogg's entire body changed to a fiery red, and he shot directly at Boomdogg. Boomdogg rolled out of the way, but the force of ShenDogg's attack hitting the floor sent Boomdogg sailing.

ShenDogg turned around and stared deep into Boomdogg's eyes. Boomdogg was on the floor, struggling to get up. ShenDogg lifted his paw and began to gather energy in it.

"Fire Wall!" ShenDogg shouted as he threw the small ball of energy into the floor. He did a series of gestures with his paws, and the gestures caused the energy attack to turn into a wall, and move toward Boomdogg in sudden jolts. The jolts forced the fire wall ahead very quickly. In a matter of seconds, it would hit Boomdogg if he couldn't get out of the way.

To be continued...

Next time on Doomsday Rider VI, ShenDogg and Boomdogg keep battling, and ShenDogg escapes before he can snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. And what's this? Is it the Hyper Phoenix? No, it's Tuturis! Total chaos is spreading throughout Neopia. Will our heroes be able to defeat Prince Zing-Lau before he can conquer both Earth and Neopia? Find out next time.
