RAINBOW POOL - Recently I read an article in The Neopian Times by kelandra
titled "Babying
Your Pets: Super Cute or Super Cruel?" As I sat and read the interview
between Kel and the Chia and Skeith I frowned. Mainly because I, like a few
other lucky Neopians, have a painted pet or two and turned the time back and
made them into a baby. After reading, I had to go ask my Aisha, Kijochan, what
she thought of what happened to her. After reading the article I half expected
her to yell at me and say something along the lines of: "YEAH! It's Cruel! Paint
me striped again!" But instead, well, here's what happened.
Nuime: Kijochan? Do you mind being painted baby?
Kijochan: *looks up from gnawing on one of her plushies* No way!
It's great!
Nuime: What? Really? You don't mind?
Kijochan: Mind? Nah, it's pretty cool. I can get away with SO many
things. Before, my brother was the younger one... so he always got treated the
best... *glares at me slightly* I mean just look at his stats compared to mine!
But now... well... I get spoiled :D Yay for spiked collars and a fancy pet page!
Ha... my owner is such a push over now that I'm so cute.
Nuime: You do know that I'm your owner, right?
Kijochan: So?
Nuime: *sigh*
Figuring it wasn't best to continue to interview my own little gothic baby,
Kijochan. I decided to interview my friend's Lupe, who although isn't painted
Baby, has seen what the Baby Lupes look like.
Nuime: So, what do you think about the baby paint brush?
Friend's Lupe: It's okay... I wouldn't mind being painted it, actually.
It lets you go back and see what it would have been like to be a baby, seeing
as how us NeoPets are brought into the world as full-grown.
Nuime: What do you think about the Chia and Skeith's comments in
the last Neopian times?
Friend's Lupe: Well it's obvious why a Skeith wouldn't like it. They're
just giant scary looking dragon things that eat anything. That's all they have
going for them. Once you turn them into a baby... they aren't so scary looking
anymore are they? As for the Chias... that's another obvious one. It makes it
easier for us Lupes to catch them. ;) That... and have you SEEN the baby Chia?
It's not that cute... the baby Aishas and Lupes are much cuter.
Nuime: Do you think this could cause some problems... seeing as how
the "oldest" pet might now become a baby?
Friend's Lupe: Not really. People tend to pay attention to the baby
more... and it gives the "oldest" pet some time to be pampered again! Besides...
you can always be painted back to any other colour. It's not like it's permanent.
So there you have it. Not all pets think it's bad. Personally I think you should
talk to your pet first before cranking out that 250,000 NP, though. It could
save you some trouble with your pet... as well as some NP! :)
Kijochan: EY! I want some ice cream! And the Dark Faerie Doll! And
the Jhudora one too!
Nuime: Okay, okay! Well, I gotta get going. Remember... talk to your
pets! See what THEY want! Besides... you can always go buy yourself a cute faerie
doll. Or wait till they come out with baby NeoPet plushies if your pet doesn't
want to be painted like one! |
